I think with virgos it's seems to be sort of 'rebelling against the virgin' as though there was a revolution within the sign. Quite often when I've been talking to female virgoes they have responded to my queries, 'you're too young' or 'that's not appropriate.' No other sign responds like that when asked innocently about hobbies.
And male virgos it seems to be a priority as well. One that takes a central theme. As oppose to it being recognised but not a central theme.

The symbology of Virgo according to Liz Greene is of the virgin as a woman that gives of herself because she desires to, versus the symbolic 'whore' who gives of herself not because she wants to, but as trade. This could very well be in a husband/ wife relationship.)
