I've been making orgonite and I'd like to share with you guys.

I've never considered myself "creative", quite the contrary really, until I read the Law of One and I learned that it was practically impossible to not be creative. RollEyes I've tried my hands at a few things in exploration, and this is one I'm very excited about.

Please forgive the photos, I am hardly a photographer!

This is my newest guy, I like him a lot, I made 3 and they need recast in a clear coat to even out the bottom, as my last layer had some miscalcs.

Here are some decent pics of a pair I made for our newest resident couple:

Here are a few that I made also as gifts that I need to mail off to my inlaws soon, they're chillin' on the bottom shelf of my altar though.

    Also, a wild Dexter appears!

Thank you for letting me share!!

Was reading journal from 1998 and found the only real OK drawings I did of my guardian animal ('priestess dragonfly')- they used to keep me company as I wrote in journal:

Hello everyone, I thought I'd share something I did...

The artwork was drawn for this blog article which I published earlier tonight: http://vervex.ca/facing-fears-and-letting-go/

Commentary: "Facing fears and letting go", my latest blog entry, is a personal tale about understanding fear and having compassion towards the self. The artwork that accompanies the article was drawn with the idea of "hope and compassion overcoming fear" in mind. Hopefully this will reach and inspire people who may be facing similar issues.

    That's really pretty.

Presumably as this is Florida, there are these entities in the lake?

haven't seen 1 yet, though...not even eyes popping out of the water...but will often hear the mating call coming from the shrubbery...the same shrubbery where the rabbits live. idk how the rabbits manage not to get eaten by them

A personal work which I finished a few days ago; Searching & Weariness. I went through several stages of self-exploration while working on this piece, a period during which I attempted to balance work and leisure. I found that the answer lies in expressing myself more openly artistically instead of focusing on the result and dismissing ideas too quickly. I am still working on this Wink

    Mad skills, Vervex.

Interesting that you juxtapose weariness with searching, as I see the latter but not so much the former. *To me* she conveys confidence, fortitude, determination, poise, and a sure-footed readiness to meet what lies ahead.

I see no weariness in the eyes or shoulders or posture... maybe a momentary pauses as she scans what awaits.

    Smile

I see what you did there Wink.

Beautiful work Vervex. I agree with GLB's interpretation. She looks as though she is someone who is looking ahead, momentarily pausing as she surveys the situation. She has a clear, focussed determination to find what she seeks. She has outgrown her surroundings, and now knows it is time to move forward.

She also seems 'alive'. Difficult to explain and I'm not sure where you picked this up from (Could also be my personal linkage), however she seems to link in to some sort of other form of energy. Perhaps archetypal, or even another concurrent existence on another sphere. Could represent a Guide of sorts.

    Cosmic Battle - A2.

I'm posting this as it occurred to me how art is seen to be a reflection of an inner state, which intrigued me thinking of this piece.

Is that a 3rd eye in the crocodile (I'm assuming that's what it is) Rake? Sort of seems like a rising of the Kundalini up the spine (Which also appears like a serpant) causing a 3rd Eye activation. Good stuff. Reminds me of Alex Grey's work.

It is indeed. I was hoping someone would give their interpretation. I used to spend ages putting symbolism into my work but now I'm just trying to let my work flow more naturally from within.

Also Alex Grey's work is ridiculous in execution and creativity truly inspiring artist.

Thanks, looks like I weren't far off then. There's much going on in your image. The cracking Egg symbolising cosmic birth/re-birth held by the serpent (Wisdom/ Knowledge?). The crocodile seems to symbolise the adept entity as they consciously grapple with the serpent and what it has to offer (Knowledge/Wisdom/Awareness). The statue and solid manner in which it wrestles the snake means it's handling the power well (Shown by the kundalini rising) without being overwhelmed. It's sort of a twist on the Caduceus.

The Snake has the tail end of it's body into Space/The Universe, meaning there's secrets it can still offer that the adept is attempting to realise for itself. It's also telling in that the Snake (In Archetypal form) is a quality of the Universe, to be 'attained', rather than an individual entity in itself.

    That's my interpretation anyway.

    [quote]

But how you interpret the image is all that matters for me as the artist. I never gave any thought to the symbolism behind what I was drawing, I found a cool illustration of a crocodile wrestling itself and thought drawing a big crocodile would be fun. The snake and the egg and the universe in the triangle all came through sketching out draft versions first. The only conscious bit of symbolism I put into the piece was that I used the infinity symbol to map out the crocodile and snakes positioning on the page.

Having read what you have said I can only say that I fully agree with your interpretation of the symbolism and how they interact with each other. Perhaps it will give me some insight into myself at this time so thank you Smile

What image are you referring to with the cracking Egg? Maybe I am overlooking it, but I don't see it on this page.
