Ohhhh, no favorites. . . . I have several Clannad CDs - I do like the theme song they did for a television Robin Hood series awhile back. I think it's actually called Robin, the hooded man.

Light and love and sweet dreams. I'm off to bed!

Ahhhhh, yes, that's the one about robin hood - I just love the melody of that one!

And yes, the I Will Find you is also one of my favorites! Love the lyric to that one, more than the melody.

Also love Bruce Cockburn: Creation's Dream - might be my very favorite "worship" song!

    Thank you Ruth. Heart

Now and because I have a deep appreciation of the artistic richness of ALL cultures, I would like to share with you the "Hoomii" sometimes spell "Humai" accompanied by the traditional Mongolian instrument, the "Marin Whoor".
"Hoomii" is an overtone singing technique also known as 'throat singing'. Singers can sing 2 to 4 notes simultaneously!

From the many throat singers, I have chosen this young and dedicated Mongolian musician

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5wHbIWH_NGc

This is another one, thistling with the throat!

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0M3YFK3sJ54

This one is a Russian overtone/throat singer from Tuvan, whose name is Kondar-ol Ondar

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TVyyhHFKI8E

Another amazing performance this time from Enkh Jargal

I really enjoyed Mumford & sons - love the voice of the lead singer - very mysterious sounding.

LOL - you read my mind! I was wondering as I was posting my comment when you'd be changing your username to Conifer17! LOL! I was trying to think of something a little more permanent to suggest - like conifer forever or enduring or something like that.

    You rock!

I have no idea what I would change it into either, no name comes to mind right now.
I don't think I could change it into something permanent as I won't ever be permenant, seeing as we are all ever changing. So I think I would just have to change it when I change.

This piece is played by the Master of Pan Flute, Gheorge Zamfir.
The Lonely Shepherd was composed by James Last in the 70s.
Born April 6, 1941 in Romania, G. Zamfir has received 120 golden and platinum disc awards and sold over 200 million albums. He is known for playing an expanded version of the traditional Romanian-style pan flute (nai) of 20 usually pipes, extended to 22, 25, 28 and 30 pipes, reaching up to nine tones from each pipe.
