Alcohol is many things, but one of it's most observed features is that it 'loosens one up'. In more psychological terms, it's an 'uninhibitor'. Because of social norms and values, there is much that we keep bottled inside, that isn't 'right' or 'safe' to express - as perceived by the individual. Add some alcohol to the mix, and a social setting that is more liberal and permissive, and these suppresed aspects can find a fluent outlet.
Alcohol can bring out the easy breazy smiling side. That's what we look for when we are with friends. But some things that are inhibited can also tend to the dark and even nasty. But even there, a kind of 'honesty' can be perceived if those are allowed expression, and free witness.
This post, however, is sharing some of the lighter brighter aspects that alcohol can bring out.
