He promptly woke up and said "I never want to remember my dreams again!" I'll elaborate a bit since it had elements very personal to him.
In the dream, he found out that our dog had Lou Gehrig's disease. When he was a child, one of his first dogs (of many) got sick with Lou Gehrig's, which basically just deteriorates and eats all your muscle tissue, so he watched her waste away. When his family was on vacation and his uncle was watching their dogs, he "put her out of her misery" with a gun. So he has that trauma. He decided instead of such a fate he would first attempt to kill her in a "humane" way - by putting her in the freezer. He used to be a dog farmer and he whelped many litters, and amongst them there were a few stillborns/barely alive puppies, and what you do when they are that tiny, is just put them in the freezer... I guess. So he put our full grown dog into the freezer, and in the next morning, of course she wasn't dead, just very chilled. So he took her out and put her into a bag and started beating her against stuff. Like I said, he realized in his dream that what he was doing was unecessary, removed her (she was fine), and checked her for signs of disease, to which she appeared very healthy. He was very relived in the dream.
He also had a "memory" that same night, he said all he remembered was that he was with me, and we were really, really happy. It's fun watching him "wake up" a bit, even though he doesn't really consciously know what's going on. This was his first time remembering his dreams in many, many months, and probably a good 2 weeks worth of intention setting to remember them. In my thought I figured we must have been "home" in the dream, wherever in the universe that may be, but I try not to freak him out too much with alien stuff.
The next night he had an interesting dream as well where he met up with an old childhood friend (who isn't doing very well IRL, in and out of jail a lot, my husband sees him as a "There but for the grace of god go I" figure in his life, but he's often referred to as his best friend) got together, chatted, and then rescued some people from a burning house. I thought it was nice that they got together to do some herowork in dreamland. I asked him how his friend was doing, and he said "Good! Much better than in real life." I always enjoy my dream time meetups with friends I haven't seen in a while.
Ah man, our guides must be colluding. As soon as I sent that post, he started going off about how exciting the speculative potential of this was:

So then we spent a good 10 minutes talking about aliens. Ahahaha.
