Thanks in part to Zen's teachings. Metaphor is like symbol, but to me metaphor has a much more beautiful sound. It's more expansive than the clanging feel of "symbol". Metaphor produces emotional response of wonder in me.A projection is a form of psychological identification where the disowned contents of the personal unconscious are attributed to an external source. Even though these attributions are completely unconscious, there tends to be a bias attached. Usually positive or negative. Strong positive projections are typically associated with the anima (one's feminine personal unconscious) in males and animus (one's masculine personal unconscious) in females. Complementary projections form the basis of most relationships here in 3D. Relationships are created and maintained for the satisfaction of complentary neurotic structures, when satisfaction is not forthcoming, the relationship is terminated. As one individuates, it's possible to have relationships that are not wholly based on an expectation of such lower ego-satisfying demands (the personal unconscious has been integrated sufficiently to move one into 'green').
Maybe Zen could enlighten us with the difference between projection and metaphor?
I can push an emotion with feather soft thought intent, but the slightest sensation of emotion can be intense because of emotional density. Spent about 5 hours last night surrendering as much as I could to Creator. This increases flow of Light, increases density and transformational power of it. Legs got really tight from the Light pressure in me, and they floated upward as I sat in my recliner.
How expansively can I experience THIS metaphor (the one that currently produces greatest dynamic)?
A metaphor is a something with symbolic content chosen to represent or embody an idea.
Allegory is a metaphorical story, but with a meaning that is present but not so obvious at first take. So it's compelling, but you don't quite know why - like a powerful dream or a synchronistic occurrence. The more presence or consciousness available, the more these built-in guides serve to identify unaddressed aspects of self. You may examine your allegorical dramas looking for strong symbols which typically serve to constellate these aspects of self.
The symbol is the emergent (from mind - personal, collective, etc.) representation of a currently unknowable principle. Semiotics is the study of the meaning of symbol (and metaphor).
We (our subconscious) always identifies with symbolic and metaphorical content before the meaning it's pointing to makes its way to our awareness. The unconscious associations we hold, in symbolic and metaphorical form, with the idea of UFO's, conspiracy theories, controllers, tends to appeal to something we have yet to address. We are bound to project these metaphors onto the most convenient other self in order to first make it safe for us to digest the hidden meaning therein. This self-delusional/learning unconscious patterning is largely what is occurring on the bring4th forum.
