Just a quick notice... I need to do some general housecleaning with recent posts in this area since there are no 'advanced studies' topics taking place at this time. Any posts not relevant to the Advanced Studies section will be moved to another area. Some posts may seem to have disappeared, but they are just being temporarily put on hold until we can place them in an alternative location.
No mod "wrath" here, as we do not, and never will, operate with such spirit. To the contrary, this is a friendly request to be considerate of the guidelines for this particular forum, so that topics can remain as close to their original purpose as possible. Please be sure to review the guidelines for this forum, and continue non-related discussions in the Treehouse area.
Thanks for your understanding.

Steve,
First let me say i'm coming to love your forum, thanks.
I'm completely unlearned in contemporary software code or scripts (and happily so). Structure and conceptual structure is my interest in your comments. Forum functionality does interest me a lot. Derailment and diversity does naturally challenge internet forums everywhere.
Here is my proposed solution: Through code magic, do allow users to anonymously block other user posts from their own 'window'..... Mind you i don't suggest offending anyone, nor forcing a permanent, total block.... Rather that 'user-allowed' posts will still include all quotes, even the 'blocked' user quotes. Thus the blocker might ultimately develop a comfort-buffer towards their own blocked user list, personalities who were initially perceived derailing or objectionable.
I suggest this could work like trainer-wheels on bicycles for young children. Until some comfort zones are adjusted. Or perhaps such blocks will greatly enhance the experience of new comers, who wish to focus on specific sorts of posting styles, at first. For harmonizing convenience, perhaps a button on each page will allow users to toggle their blockages on/off, very easily. Such as a child who occasionally realized their own, newly forming tolerance for inertia.
In any event, you may already have much preferred solutions in mind. I will appreciate your good works regardless.

PS- I'll try to look more closely at this thread as, possibly, a thought or two might synchronize. (slow reader here).
