in our society the mind is primarily seen as a problem solving tool. Its primary use is for training for technocratic and professional roles. Those that work with the mind work in an office, those that labor with their hands are out there driving trucks and cleaning the aforementioned offices.

the mind, however, is the primary creative tool that we have.

one of the problems that we have is that we are never given the tools or the training to work with the mind in an effective manner.

some of these tools are highlighted in the Ra material, and include:

    * effective use of dreamwork, and acknowledging the validity and value of the communications from the unconscious

    * tools for self-balancing, self-reflection, and the acknowledgement of the process of catalyst upon the destablising of the mind

    * the placing of the body as a tool for learning; which externalises the actions of the mind, and not as an entity in itself

the mind is the locus of experience, and is far more than the biological functions that the brain provides. The Mind is no different from the "All Mind' or the 'One Mind', or as Ra terms it, the One Infinite Creator.

the mind that we have is no different from the consciousness' of Buddha or Jesus. All that differs is the expressed potentials of that mind. The mind can be cultivated, explored, and developed much the same way that a bodybuilder can perfect their form; the mind too, has its structures and patterns.

the mind is certainly an interesting part of us. and definitely it can be developed just like any other part of us. and it is a wonderful tool to assist us in our journey. the ability to plan, to imagine, to dream is what enables us to advance. hopefully we let the heart rule the mind. the two of them working together are truly miraculous.

In fact, growing the mind seems to be the only way to reach higher states. Mostly because you cant grow the heart, you can only accept the heart as controlling you, at least for a while, and in all the moments it is in control, it grows.

Hope that is more understandable of my view? Growing the mind is your deal, growing the heart is what happens when you surrender, automatically.
