He's the nephew of a friend of mine and he's not doing good at all. He had a heart transplant at 3 months old and has been a fighter ever since. The joy on his face remained through all the tests and all the pokes and prods.

Any prayers would definitely be appreciated.

Here is his story from the Facebook page

Tristan's heart defect, Hypo Plastic Left Heart Syndrome, was very severe. In simple words, Tristan was born with half a heart. The left side of Tristan's heart was so under developed that it would have never worked. Currently the prescribed treatment is a series of three open heart surgeries to re-wire Tristan's heart to act as if it was a whole heart. This is just a temporary fix. Ultimately he would have needed a heart transplant.

Tristan had his first open heart surgery at 6 days old. The surgery went well but Tristan’s recovery was very rocky. Tristan went into full cardiac arrest two days after surgery and was placed on ECMO bypass for six days until coming off earlier than expected due to excessive bleeding. Tristan has had several ups and downs since his first surgery. He has never been home.

Tristan was at to different children's hospitals and ultimately had a heart transplant at 3 ½ months old. Tristan is now recovering from his transplant, which is a very lengthy process.

He coded a little bit ago but they were able to bring him back with CPR. Haven't heard an update yet so hopefully that isn't a bad sign.
