I did the Morning Offering and then got myself ready for the day. Today the Ra quote comes from 100.6:
“Questioner: Thank you. To continue with the tarot, I would like to make the additional observation with respect to Card Six that the male’s arms being crossed, if the female to his right pulls on his left hand it would cant, in effect turn him, his entire body, toward the right. And the same is true for the female on the left: pulling on his right hand she will turn his entire body to her side. Which is my interpretation of what’s meant by the tangle of the arms—that the transformation occurs by pull which attempts to turn the entity toward the left- or the right-hand path. Would Ra comment on that observation?
Ra: I am Ra. We shall. The concept of the pull towards mental polarity may well be examined in the light of what the student has already accreted concerning the nature of the conscious, exemplified by the male, and the unconscious, exemplified by the female. Indeed, both the prostituted and the virginal of deep mind invite and await the reaching.
In this image of Transformation of Mind, then, each of the females points the way it would go but is not able to move; nor are the two female entities striving to do so. They are at rest.
The conscious entity holds both and will turn itself one way or the other, or potentially backwards and forwards, rocking first one way, then the other, and not achieving the Transformation. In order for the Transformation of Mind to occur, one principle governing the use of the deep mind must be abandoned.
It is to be noted that the triangular shape formed by the shoulders and crossed elbows of consciousness is a shape to be associated with transformation. Indeed, you may see this shape echoed twice more in the image, each echo having its own riches to add to the impact of this complex of concepts.”
In this question Don is asking Ra about the two females in Card Number Six, the Transformation of the Mind, who seem to be pulling on the male’s arms. Don is asking if they are pulling the male toward the left and right-hand path, one or the other. Ra mentions that we are dealing with the two paths in this image, but neither female is trying to move. It is the male who must release one arm or the other and, thereby, choose the other path for its choice of how to polarize its consciousness. In 79.39-.40, Ra gives the basic definition of the Transformation of the Mind:
Questioner: Let me skip over the Hierophant for a minute because I’m really not understanding that at all, and just ask you if the Lovers represent the merging of the conscious and the unconscious, or a communication between conscious and unconscious?
Ra: I am Ra. Again, without being at all unperceptive, you miss the heart of this particular archetype which may be more properly called the Transformation of the Mind.
Questioner: Transformation of the mind into what?
Ra: I am Ra. As you observe Archetype Six you may see the student of the mysteries being transformed by the need to choose betwixt the light and the dark in mind.
Ra added that the right angles that are made by the figure’s half bent arms in this image are indications of transformation. The triangle is seen twice in the male’s arms, twice in each females’ arms, and once in the drawn bow that the genie in the upper left holds. This makes sense since Card Six is the Transformation of the Mind, and right angles signify transformation as Ra stated in 95.27:
The observation of the right angles and their transformational meaning is most perceptive, O student. Each of the images leading to the Transformations of Mind, Body, and Spirit—and ultimately to the great transformative Choice—has the increasing intensity of increasing articulation of concept; that is to say, each image in which you find this angle may increasingly be seen to be a more and more stridently calling voice of opportunity to use each resource—be it Experience as you now observe, or further images—for the grand work of the adept which builds towards transformation using the spirit’s bountiful shuttle to intelligent infinity.
Today was another Sabbath Day of Rest, but when my neighbor texted me that I had five dear eating in my back yard I thought that was a good time to reapply the deer repellant spray since it had been some time since I had done so. Then I worked more on Chapter 5 of 103, looking for ways to make the text better wherever possible. Then just after noon I took my errand run, stopping first at Feeder’s Supply to buy some cat food for the upstairs cats plus a new bed for Boscoe and some fish food for the fish in the pond. Then I stopped at the Farmer’s Market to buy some food for myself. My last stopped was at Walgreen’s to buy some non-food items. This evening my niece and her boyfriend stopped in for a night’s sleep on their way from Colorado Springs, Colorado to Falls Church, Virginia.

This World Of Wonder
We are of the principle of Jesus the Christ and we greet you in the full consciousness of divine love.
Before you lies the vista of this fair and lovely day, soft and shimmering with summer colors, with the sweet exhaustion of heat and the generous beauty of nature’s palette of many colors. Consider how you will approach this the creation of the Father through which you walk.
There are three ways to walk in this world of wonder. Most walk with their eyes averted from the beauty entirely. These are those who have not yet learned how precious the beauty of the creation is.
There are those who seize the beauty and hold it to them, counting each sight as a possession and rejoicing withal in the wonderful collection of sensual experiences. These are the takers, those who feel that all of creation is made for them and as a king or queen, so they declare sovereignty over all that they see. Even in their appreciation there is ownership.
There are those who, seeing all the beauties of the evanescent passage of time, give glory and thanks to the One which created them all and which created the appreciator as well. This appreciator is not the Lord of that which he surveys, but its shepherd and its servant; its trustee, if you will, as it is held in trust for generations to come.
Open your eyes and see the beauty, but see it as one who gives to beauty the glory of Jesus the Christ, that you may treat all aright and not be ashamed before your children and your children’s children. For they, too, need beauty.
