Perhaps Ra wasn't very familiar with Vedic/Jyotish astrology?

I agree that Western astrology pales in comparison.
That sounds fun

I wasn't aware of it before. I might have to start looking into it soon.

Since (re) connecting with the latter, Western astrology pales in comparison and seems dull and incorrect to me, but can't help but wonder if Ra with their wording were giving a clue that they prefer it?

which is the planet missing?
I think Ra is counting the sun as well.

This is probably close to the reason, or perhaps Ra was suggesting the type of astrology with which the trio was familiar. They use the words "what has been called the ten planets," which typically indicates they are simply referring to something in a way which is more familiar to the group rather than how they would refer to it otherwise.
