This has been a subject we have discussed back and forth, but I feel it needs further and specific investigation.

I cannot find any specific Confederation quote on this now, but it has been discussed.

So what is "progressing too fast"? In my case, I have especially noticed it in my entheogen-induced experience, blowing my energy body to smithereens and my red ray is nowhere near it's stability as it were half a year ago (reality sometimes seems like a dark illusion and a lie) . I have a human brain, taking infinity and stuffing it inside there messes things up, I promise you. Especially if you see only negative aspects of infinity.

This may be a part of progressing too fast - seeing that which you are not ready for, which was not really intended for a human.

It may also be when you claim to know things you do not. In my case, thinking for myself that I understood the world due to knowing the Law of One. A free card out of jail, so to speak. This backfired upon me, and I saw my whole certainty being obliterated, taking me back to that which is fundamental to me. Perhaps it could be likened to being 'tried' if I could exist on that level of light. I could obviously not, so I went back to where I should be.
The Law of One-material has certainly induced a rapid spiritual growth in me. But it has been too much. I have not read spiritual material for many months now, and I will not for quite some time. I must find myself first.

What is your experience..
When you feel like you've lost yourself, it's like you're an uprooted plant. Cut off from Home, your mind is racing with negative thoughts and fear of upcoming tragedies.

In order to reconnect with the feeling of wholeness again, it seems like a purification of the self and a renewal of experience (pruning and replanting) would be in order. But how to purify yourself? How can you start over when you carry so much mental baggage? Have faith that you will only be tasked with changing what you can. The Universe will take care of the rest. Maybe you need to clean up your surroundings or change your relationship with a friend to remove a source of negativity. I don't know. Only you can know for sure.

Ask yourself what needs to change in order to get back Home. Get answers from both the logical side and the spiritual side of yourself. Then, start over from square one. Start doing. Little things, little changes to bring happiness to yourself for others. With your intention, the rest will fall into order. You can't make others happy unless you're happy. You can't be love unless you're beloved. Refresh your point in the grid so that the energy can flow cleanly to the points you're connected to.

This may not be exactly what you're going through, friend. But this is what I'm currently going through, and I can only share my relevant experience.

Remember, we are all one. One thought. One energy. One big movement. One Being thinking in billions of different ways. Heart
First here is a whole session titled "SPIRITUAL BURNOUT"
http://www.llresearch.org/newsletters/is...993_4.aspx

Now there are many confederation sessions on the nature of what you ask if I do observe this correctly..

First it is conveyed that the conscious spiritual seeker will indeed be speeding up and will feel the effects of fatigue way more then a day to day unawakened being.
Q'uo Sunday Meditation October 15, 2000
Quote:Consequently, you can drive yourself crazy trying to think about how you think which is usually a bootless [1] inquiry. Or you can shake off the dull fatigue of trying to figure out that which cannot be figured out and determine that which is the next thing that feels right for you to do. For beyond all of the thoughts about living a life in truth, each moment there is a situation where there is an awareness that is caught in the flesh and we also are caught into a certain type of flesh and are embodied and have personalities. We are the limitless caught into limit. We are living paradoxes. We are not linear beings. We will often not make sense, and the angst and anxieties that come to those who are beginning to seek spiritually will always be vastly more deeply felt and more uncomfortable than those difficulties experienced by those not attempting to accelerate the pace of their evolution but are simply attempting to live through the day.

Latwii Sunday Meditation April 19, 1987
Quote:The burden of free will for each seeker within your illusion is heavier for those who seek consciously. The further one travels upon the path of self-knowledge, the greater one feels the awareness that one is conscious, that one has feelings and that there is that great mystery and unknown which is called your future that lies before one and which will be formed by one’s own choices. It is difficult, we understand, for any seeker of truth to look upon any portion of the life experience as being indeed but a portion, as being that which shall at a certain time become transformed and be another experience. It is as though one were attempting your physical exercise, attempting to push the limits of the physical vehicle further, and in this pushing, one reaches the point at which it seems there can be no further repetition of the exercise without failure and collapse.

Just so are many experiences of the mental, emotional and spiritual nature as well. Each entity decides for itself, either before the incarnation or during the incarnation, that it wishes to undertake to learn certain lessons that may be manifested in such and such a fashion. The means of the manifestation may frequently be secondary to the lesson itself, and as the lesson is carried out within the incarnational experience, it is oftentimes felt by the seeker that no more can this experience continue without fatigue and failure and the desire to escape this particular set of circumstances.

We counsel for all such entities in this situation the lightness of touch and breadth of viewing which you may call the sense of perspective or humor that will allow one to experience the seeming retrograde moments of experience without undue distress, for it is true for each seeker that many are the steps of the path and many are the pieces of the puzzle, and each shall eventually fall into place as each is meant to fall.

The question then is, how shall the seeker prepare the self in the attitude, to witness and experience each placing of the foot upon the path and each piece of the puzzle in its place? It is, as you have noted, frequently possible to push the envelope, shall we say, and attempt to force a certain set of circumstances to take root within the life pattern. Oftentimes much may be learned by such forcing. This may be in addition to that which was first intended and may in some cases merely delay the original intention. However, those choices which have been made by your own will previous to the incarnation carry a weight which shall eventually be felt in the manner which is desired.

On the nature of cycles of spiritual seeking which one experiences.
Q'uo Saturday Meditation, May 24, 2008
Quote:The cycles of which we speak are several. The first is the cycle of the beginner on the path and then the more experienced entity on the path. This cycles in an unpredictable and quite slow way, for it is not known when that first rush of excitement shall fade away, once the seeker has awakened and started on the path of his spiritual evolution.

The initial flush of excitement and that wonderful feeling that you have a treasure of great value may last years, or it may last months, or it may last weeks. Inevitably, however, the honeymoon between yourself and the infinite possibilities of seeking the Creator fade and it begins to be possible simply to give lip service to those ideals which have previously moved you almost to tears.

It is as though at times your energy body were [a stream] rushing forward and, at other times, a dry bed. You look at that place where the torrent flew and frothed above all. And, below the place where all that water flowed, it is dry and cracked, and you are in a season of drought within your own spiritual process.

The seeker who wishes to win the self over has one great resource during those dry times within and that is his will. The will of an entity who knows that he is powerful can overcome any resistance within the self, and that faculty of will is fed by memory; the memory of those times when the self was lifted up and things were very clear.

There are times in every seeker’s life when the Creator is close and the connection is sweet and pure and strong. In dry times it is extremely helpful for the spiritual seeker to remember those times of torrential inundations of the love and the light of the one infinite Creator.

It is as though your will were a candle that you keep burning day and night. Sometimes it is not needed because the world is full of sunlight. During the dark night of the soul, however, there is only the candle of your will. Feel that steel core within you of will and focus and let it blaze as the candle in good seasons and in poor.

Cramming and trying to move too fast.
Hatonn Sunday Meditation May 16, 1982
Quote:As we have said before, more and more of your peoples are beginning their search, beginning to feel that urge to know the love and the light, as conditions in which you now live begin to intensify, various lessons that each needs to experience as what you refer to as time begins to wind down. Your peoples are beginning to feel what many of them say is an urgency of need to quickly learn all, but we ask you to not rush, not grab and try to cram as if you were studying for one of your school tests. The awareness that you seek is something that develops slowly, but not always evenly. To begin to experience, to feel, you need to stop rushing and begin to take time to sit in quiet meditation, allow yourself to open, to begin to slowly expose your being to the light, to the love. This awareness may at times seem to come in the flash of a moment, but it is never a flash, it is built slowly. We do not simply request that! Though time as you know it may be winding down, you need not rush. Slow down, my friends, allow yourself to experience. Allow yourself to flow. It is not necessary to push or grab.

We would at this time pause for a moment to allow our brothers and sisters of Laitos to pass among you, and allow each the request to feel their conditioning vibrations. You would then resume through another instrument.

(Pause)

(L channeling)

I am Hatonn. I am now with this instrument, and I greet you again, my brothers and sisters, in the love and the light of the infinite Creator. My friends, in your race there is often a tendency to avoid the responsibility for one’s own actions or lack of actions. It is frequently heard that an individual or a group is blessed. Those making the statement, not realizing that what they regard as blessings, distributed, perhaps, randomly by some external entity, are in reality the result of the individuals and their efforts. My friends, it may be said in the same manner that many in this group are blessed, in that their efforts find fulfillment, and, because as accomplishments on the spiritual plane are reflected on the physical plane, the fulfillments themselves are readily reflected and quite noticeable to those about them.

My friends, your desires are strong, as are your wills, and this is good. However, do not concern yourselves with the accomplishment of a certain level of attainment, for it is not in this manner that the spirit progresses. In the situation within which you exist, the choice is soon to be upon you which will determine the characteristics of your next incarnation, for the time remaining for your race is relatively brief. It is tempting when faced with this situation to attempt a frenzied effort in the manner referred to by your people as cramming, as if you are aware that the final examination is soon to be undertaken, and desire not to be found wanting.

My friends, this is not the path to development. Do not be frightened by the future. But, also do not be sustained in your efforts by something akin to fear, for this also is a stony ground upon which to attempt growth. Rather, my friends, accept that your drive for attainment, that your will to progress, that your striving to learn will sustain you, will nurture you in whatever incarnation is destined to be yours, and accept joyfully that that life which follows this life will be that which is most fit for your path of learning. Do not let the final examination be your goal, my friends, but rather let the final attainment be your goal.

On the nature of burnout and a helpful way to lighten oneself.
Q'uo Sunday Meditation April 21, 1995
Quote:We ask that you encourage your own faith and your own spirit of strength and joy and that you remain transparent to a destiny which is full of the grace of perfect rhythm. And if you feel, now and again, that you are moving too fast or that you are moving in the wrong direction, stop, take a deep, deep breath and say to yourself, “There are no mistakes. My lessons will come no matter what I do. My service will come no matter what I do.” Say it and know it, and then let your hearts be merry and full of praise and thanksgiving, and let your arms reach out to the pilgrims that come your way upon this highway of love.

Hatonn Intensive Meditation January 31, 1989
Quote:There are the moments of mental, physical and emotional and, perhaps, even spiritual fatigue that occur as a natural portion of each entity’s cycle of being, the rhythm of the pulse of life as it moves through each entity. These moments are also filled with the more enhanced catalyst, so that the ability to respond in the desired manner may be reduced from time to time, and it is during those times of seeming regression or moving backwards from the ideal that the instrument will be tested, shall we say, by its own desire to match its life pattern with the ideals which it has set for itself.

Q'uo Special Meditation January 12, 2004
Quote:This instrument has often said, “Take it easy or you’ll burn out.” Now, there are two schools of thought on this and in truth we would, for the most part, agree with this instrument. Although there are nuances that this instrument has not yet grasped concerning real balance; the impulses to balance purity with laughter, and intensity with lightness, are good instincts. The choices are the same as, say, the choice of whether to live on the edge physically. If an entity wants to live hard and die young and burn the candle at both ends doing so, it is seen as a self-indulgent thing and if the entity does die because of taking risks, it is seen as a foolish incarnation brought to an end before its time because of poor judgment. On the other hand, when an entity moves into the spiritual realm and attempts to live hard and make great progress and burn the candle at both ends in the attempt to go further, know more, be more aware, the entity is inviting the same kind of early death in that the spiritual burnout, as this instrument would call it, is quick to appear when the entity has run through its own energy.

There is, shall we say, a tremendous amount of help available to the entity who releases its own effort after it has been made and rests in the fellowship of guidance, Godhead and the creation. The drive to intensity is in part based upon a perception that one is going it alone. Yet indeed there is never a solitude when it comes to spiritual evolution, for you dwell within a family of those seen and those unseen, in the inner planes and in those environments which were yours before coming to the planet you call Earth.

Last but not least I am not going to post more sessions but know that although you might be awakened and that you are trying to fathom the mystery of everything you can not possibly and will not achieve any type of knowing in third density. This has been stated many times over and if you wish the sessions I will provide them. Even the upper density beings do not know where the spiral ends because they are still in creation. Most of the infinite one creator is unmanifest and unpotentiated and ever evolving beyond any knowing and truth, for to have an end is to be finite.
Thank you Cyclops, an excellent combination of teachings.

"....many are the steps of the path and many are the pieces of the puzzle..."

Truer words never spoken. I don’t think it was ever meant to be a straight path. Free will provides just as many blind alleys and true paths, if not more. If the intent is there, one will make their own way out of the bushes, as it were..eventually. But generating that intent and holding to it…that’s what trips us humans up. Every time.

There are so many distractions in the game of life.

Aaron: I hear you.. thank you for the words. To know that I will only be tasked to change that which I can is a truly empowering thought
Cyclops: The first quote applies exactly to me, word by word. Great post.. I treasure it dearly
Why is there a need to progress fast?
Is there a bus waiting somewhere?

No harm intended. But spirituality isn't instant gratification. And considering the fact that at at least 20 years of training under a guru were supposedly required in the past... What are we complaining about.

Sit back.. You're already there. Us westeners have this attitude of taking a pilgrimage and hurrying along every step of the way forgetting to take in the environment just to get to wherever it is we're going. Once there we kiss a stone or statue and bail again.

What's the point? This is a life's journey, and we don't get to say when we'll advance.... "Oh I think I'll discover the secrets to the universe next Sunday afternoon right after soccer practice..."

I'm trying not to be negative, but this isn't about collecting boyscout badges.
Ayadew,

Don't assume that the LSD-experience you had is the "real" reality, although it may have felt so at the time. In my opinion, LSD reveals (re-veils) another layer of reality, but it's not the ultimate reality. I'm sure you think so too, just a reminder. It feels more real, and in the sense that any experience adds a new angle to view things from, it really is more real. But for any dark frequency, there's a corresponding light frequency. Unfortunatly, you saw a dark aspect, but I can't stress enough that there's positive ones as well. Very positive!

LSD is a catalyst that is far more transparent than any other psychedelic I've tried. It has no agenda of it's own, unlike many plants. (I actually used the word "catalyst" about LSD specifically, even before I encountered the Ra-material.) There's zero guidance with LSD, it's more like you pop into that world and then you have to navigate it for yourself. If fear takes over, then the experience will be colored completely by fear and you get the impression that the real reality is dark. LSD isn't the ultimate reality, it's just another aspect of the infinite universe, with infinite realities. It's just a mirror, reflecting what you feel right then. It doesn't necessarily reflect the "real" you, just the energies that pass through you at the given moment.

I would agree that the world is fractal. Consciousness and the energies you see on LSD are fractal, but it doesn't have to be a sickening, dark fractal. If you had felt love on LSD, the patterns would have been like pink snowflakes raining down on you, perfectly symmetric and beautiful beyond words.

However, the risk of getting too much information at once with psychedelics is very real. I've done that myself, and that means you don't really progress, but create huge stumbling blocks for yourself. I've certainly done that. It has helped me a lot, but it has also created many problems. I think it is very wise of you to focus on the lower chakras. To build the house on a solid foundation is good advice, indeed.

I do not advocate psychedelics, and do not want to influence you to go in any specific direction. I say this just because I realize that my post might sound like a defence for LSD. But really, all I want to defend is the belief that the world is ultimately positive and that love really IS the only truth. I've seen it on psychedelics! Smile
Hitler tried progressing too fast, and became insane as a result.

True story BigSmile
I tried progressing too fast one time, and learned my lesson from that. It's not fun when the 3rd eye feels so dense it hurts, and the body's muscles feel like they're burning from the energy.
The event that sticks out most in my mind was my 2nd LSD trip, went completely out of my body into a state I couldn't comprehend it was so insane I can't really remember much of it except I felt like I was viewing the earth from every angle, every ones perception was mine and I felt like a numberless number of eyes hehe. When I came back to my body I felt like I couldn't handle being stuck back in this one body and was contemplating jumping of the balcony I was on, a bit melodramatic yes, I quickly grounded myself after that and instantly was caught by mum if you want to put it that way.

Then in the macrocosm of that event sometimes when I hit a certain string of thoughts that heightens my energy or awareness greatly then I ruin it with the following thoughts that creates a slight sense of fear which then drops my energy and awareness back down, a lot more subtle obviously compared to the above which was a major event in my experience.

The dynamics of it all is very intriguing, with every day every new discovery I learn a little bit more about it compounding ontop of the balanced energy I have already built up over this experience.

LSD is a wonderful tool, some of the best experiences of my life have been on LSD.

Can't even describe walking through the forest as the sun rises with friends on LSD, I felt like a fairy.

LSD can literally be however you want it to be.

Too fast?

Too fast is being in a relay race and speeding through to the finish line without having passed on the baton to any of your team mates. When you get there the official tells you that you did not follow the design of the race.

However, that said, within that design there is a specific direction in which to run in order to achieve, and there is a goal to reach when the progression through the design has been completed.

The difference between this metaphor and reality is that the cosmic finish line does not exist, and the Design is continuing to be created.

If it is possible to skip certain aspects of this grand design to be positioned further into the race, would the experiences that would have been missed be detrimental to the development of that consciousness?

Is it absolutely necessary for the proper development of a field of consciousness to experience the lower forms of being?

I say it is crucial!

For there should be no aspect of creation that should not be experienced and stored in The One as unique memory. For each experience will hold with it that unique course of events that are achieved by the interaction between that field and the many other unique fields within its environment that share their unique experiences with it.

This, my friends, IS the designing of creation.

Without the many there would only be one, experiencing only the one event which it steps into. By Intelligent Design that one experience is multiplied countless times over, exponentially expanding at an unimaginable rate of development.

Too fast?

There is no such thing as too fast compared to the rate of exponentiation.

But, within that Design, it is 'experience' which is the factor which motivates the expansion, and to remove those experiences, or to nullify their necessity, would be to begin to unravel the fabric of the Cosmic design. A sweater in the process of being knitted must follow a strict set of rules of development, and if particular stages of the process are omitted, that sweater will have flaws in its design.

Now creation can have no flaws, as it is always at the mercy of the fragmented experiences, and is developed in part by the decisions and experiences of those various actors. And this is why the Ancients have come to us to warn us that as actors of creation, becoming stagnant in our progression through the race of The Team, is not serving The Team, but is only serving our temporary identity.

To create, one must create further aspects of experience. Would one be considered an active player in creation if one chooses to remain a tree for the entirety of creation simply because they enjoy that part of the whole? The same question can be asked of you by replacing tree with human.

When one ascends the process of Being and becomes able to once again experience an incarnation in whatever lower form, that is much different than one of those lower forms never acting as a developing aspect of creation at all and remaining in one form forever.

Now this is the reason why within the design there are shifts and cycles. it is virtually impossible for a form of creation to willfully become stagnant and immobile. The One Consciousness and Its fragmented experiences cannot, by design, corrupt the natural course of creation. The Will of Design will supersede free will of fragmentation.

The warning brought to us is that there are consequences to our choices, and that there are higher forms that have set a trap of delusion on this planetary experience which causes the human to believe and choose detrimental to the development and evolution of their field of consciousness.

There is no issue of progressing too fast, even though that does have its own consequences. The real issue is that higher beings have hijacked that development to serve their own decisions to buck the design for as long as they can get away with it.

And when we are made aware of this fact, we then must choose to remain caught up in that trap, or to free ourselves from it.

Many find such pleasure in the confines of that entrapment that they will choose to remain in its clutches, believing that their temporary experience of the flesh is their identity.

To them the Ancient Ones cry out, "Know Thyself."

Not the temporary identity with which you associate your existence now, but your true identity as an evolving aspect of the One Field of Consciousness; as Its 'process of being' which is procession/progression and dependent on your individual direction and moving toward a further direction.

Your choice to sit on the path of creation and refuse to move further is a delusional pause within which you believe that you are relishing the temporary as a real identity. In fact, that choice is as temporary as your delusion will be, for your ignorance shall not impede the progression of the Divine design and your temporary folly will meet with Divine Assertion that you get up and proceed.

Free will does not exceed beyond design and the evolution of The One, for in essence The One is the true reality making the choices. And It has already laid out the Plan for expansion to continue infinitely.

Do you really suppose that you can stall the Divine Design in your temporary state of delusion?

No, all you can really do is slow down your aspect of it, and create a burden to procession where there should not be any, except for your temporary ignorance of reality, or your temporary selfish gratification in temporary defiance of The One and The All.

Here is the difference between too fast and too slow with regard to evolution of The One; "temporary self ignorance."

Know Thyself!

To this I must add and make known that I am not preaching a religious doctrine for the purpose of recruitment or some sort of salvation. And I in no way intend to relieve anyone of their free will. I gain nothing in relaying this message except that aspects of The all may gain in wisdom thereby adding to the One with attribute and quality.

I think when reality becomes too perceptual it could be a signal to focus on more practical matters by turning our attention outwards. It's something I'm working on. Ultimately we're here to help others, and someone like Albert Schweitzer who was highly active on a social level was spoken of in the material as a healer. Even though he was a doctor, I think the healer reference relates to his spiritual mission of giving back to others.

Illumination and self-development seems to be for the purpose of clearing the self of judgment, so that one can serve others practically without apprehension. I like the story Ram Dass tells of when he asked his guru how to get closer to God, and he replies "Feed people". A pretty poignant response.

In talking about healing and intelligent infinity.. "The purpose of carefully and consciously opening this channel is to serve in a more dependable way, in a more commonplace or usual way, as seen by the distortion complex of the healer. To others there may appear to be miracles. To the one who has carefully opened the door to intelligent infinity this is ordinary; this is commonplace; this is as it should be."

Miracle work seems to something that is integrated later, after the collective is healed in a more practical way.

Quote:80.10 Questioner: The fifteenth archetype is the Matrix of the Spirit and has been called the Devil. Can you tell me why that is so?

Ra: I am Ra. We do not wish to be facile in such a central query, but we may note that the nature of the spirit is so infinitely subtle that the fructifying influence of light upon the great darkness of the spirit is very often not as apparent as the darkness itself. The progress chosen by many adepts becomes a confused path as each adept attempts to use the Catalyst of the Spirit. Few there are which are successful in grasping the light of the sun. By far, the majority of adepts remain groping in the moonlight and, as we have said, this light can deceive as well as uncover hidden mystery. Therefore, the melody, shall we say, of this matrix often seems to be of a negative and evil, as you would call it, nature.

It is also to be noted that an adept is one which has freed itself more and more from the constraints of the thoughts, opinions, and bonds of other-selves. Whether this is done for service to others or service to self, it is a necessary part of the awakening of the adept. This freedom is seen by those not free as what you would call evil or black. The magic is recognized; the nature is often not.
