Ra and others have pointed out the importance of meditation and I think a lot of the people here have experienced how meditation can change their life. 

What I find interesting is how science catches up now and shows what happens in our brain and why we enjoy it so much.

Disclaimer: These talks are heavily biased towards TM (Transcendental Meditation) but I think the findings also apply to other meditation techniques as well.
