I want this rainbow over me at all times!!

WHAT DOES IT MEEAANN?!!

But on an observative note.  I love how the colors flip in the second rainbow above the first.  I still want to see 'rainbow clouds' phenomenon I've heard about.
I guess this isn't the most "artsy" photography, but I did take all these photos on my recent vacation (early October):

makes me miss my az pictures. i lost a camera that had so many great pictures of az. got very nice shots from on that mountain that's in sedona i think it was. ate at the top floor of a big building with a really nice view - can't recall what restaurant that was. saw place where lots of famous westerns were filmed - can't recall name of that place either. went to some cave but can't remember where that was. went to grand canyon.
also lost smoky mountain pics on that camera.
here's a rock from the smokies:

Since it seems some enjoy these,  I figured I'd share some pics from Africa 10 years ago.

Hawaii looks amazing, Thanks for sharing. Some say its the heart chakra of the world. Hows it feel over there?
I feel great love and great frustration from the locals. There are random signs the locals have put up that have smiley faces or encouraging words.

Yet we have seen at least 3 locals who were driving like complete dangerous, rude maniacs. Eg, on the Road to Hana it is a very dangerous road with small rock slides and narrows to one lane sometimes (for both directions to share). It was poring rain and the speed limit was 25 mph, we were going 25-35 the whole way. Someone came up behind us in a beat-up SUV honking rapidly, flashing his lights, and following us less than half a car length. Before we could find a pull-out to let him pass, he passed us on the left in a no-passing zone blind corner at 40+ mph that could have sent him and/or oncoming traffic off a cliff. It was definitely a local (it was not a rental car). I would have chalked it up to an isolated incident, but similar situations have happened 2 more times while we were exceeding the speed limit by 5-20mph. Some of locals seem to be extremely frustrated with anyone driving less than twice the legal limit.
My father-in-law is Japanese-Hawaiian, and him and my mother-in-law go to Hawaii at least once a year. I hear no complaints. But, I have often heard from others that there is an overt dislike against anyone who isn't a native by many locals, which is unfortunate. Maybe the speed limit barrier is just an excuse to be rude, a "get off my island" gesture. I don't know, I've never been, though my in-laws have a time share so it's probably an inevitability that we end up there some day. It's natural to feel protective of such a wonderful place, I'd guess!
Finally finished putting together the last 2 albums from my trip to Hawai'i.

I got to see Papakolea Green Sand Beach, one of four green sand beaches in the world: https://goo.gl/photos/C7hUZXJTTWMdgJH8A

To cap it all off, I went to Volcanoes National Park and got to see an active volcano (Kilauea). The past lava flows were fascinating and much more colorful than I was expecting: https://goo.gl/photos/GibZnJemCuiVCJJc7
Wow, there is some gorgeous photos in here, thanks everyone for sharing!

Really great pictures YinYang. Am I correct in guessing those were taken with a film camera as apposed to digital? The images are suuuper crisp.
Thanks Zach! Actually, they were taken with a digital camera, Nikon D2X, with a 80-400 mm zoom lens. All were taken from inside the car (except the birds and the monkeys at the picnic spots), you're not allowed to get out of the car in the Kruger, you'll become lunch!  Wink

My favourite nature photographer is Michael Poliza. His pictures are breathtaking, and he uses Canon I think, also digital.

He's very well known for his from the air shots.
Awesome, magical pictures! Love the crocodiles covered in algae!
Thanks Jade! As I was posting these last night I got an idea! A possible career change which involves my little Nikon beauty! Don't know why this hasn't occurred to me before, since I've always been a photo fanatic!
Well, it seems obvious to me, I thought you already must be a professional!
Lol! You just made my day!
Well, I'm glad I could return the favor!
