The Inspirational video thread is an excellent collection.

Perhaps we can create something similar for music - music that moves you to 4D+. If you were to recommend a single album (or artist) who's music creates in you peace, love and stillness, who would it be?

Feel free to add other artists, but be sure to mention your current choice (which will change over time of course).

For me, the artist is Deuter, and his album Koyasan. It's absolutely beautiful, perfect for either relaxing or meditation. He is a self taught musician, who quit his job to follow his spiritual dream of creating music. His music is a gift to the world, and it's formless style whisks you off to another world, as if floating in a sea of light. Escape from Gravity is particularly wonderful.

In close second, Maneesh de Moor. His albums Om Deeksha (Bliss & Om Baghavan being favourite songs) and Sadhana (Silent Ganges, Peaceful Being and Namaste in particular) are enchanting.

Other recommendations are Deva Premal (Love is Space is an excellent album) and Jonathan Goldman - Ultimate Om (for meditation).

Anyone care to share their choice(s)? Smile
I love The Moody Blues, they're music is amazing and they have so many spiritual songs. About half of the songs on the following albums are very spiritual: In Search of the Lost Chord (1968), To Our Children's Children's Children(1969), A Question of Balance (1970), Every Good Boy Deserves Favour (1971) and Seventh Sojourn (1972). You could find torrents of them or buy the albums online.

In particular these songs: Minstrel's Song, After You Came, Out and In. Though in my library I have 35 songs by them, the most by any band.
i get lost and 4d feeling listening to the music i was given (channeled?)

these last weeks have been very difficult for me so I enjoy the time when i ride the train back home from work and can just listen to music
and it seemed i had sung songs for myself in the past to deal with situations in the future:

infinite
everything is forgiven
sts or sto
alienated (L.A.nated)
Journey and plenty more that arent on the website

L.A.soon is the name of my band whereas L.A. (being the city of angels) is a symbol for the heavens the one safe place one wants to be in soon...4D or just back home where/whenever that isHeartHeartHeart

Nice tunes Smile
I can relate to your feelings. I've written pomes all my life... I feel like you, it's almost like I wrote stuff then, that is for now. The stuff I write now, I often don't understand yet.

Meditation/relaxing if not in silence - I like Snatam Kaur.

If I have wired energy to shift then I still love oldschool uplifting trance - many many hr's of my life have been spent dancing in space and well I'm still prone to bouncing round my house on occasions Blush
Something like Tiesto - Let the light shine in
Not sure about bringing stillness - but it's up there in love & peace Big Grin
Great thread, Namaste.

If I had to choose one to recommend, it would be Ashana. Especially "Beloved" & "All is Forgiven". This music absolutely creates in me peace, love and stillness....4D+!!! Oh and @ndy, she features Snatam Kaur on some of her albums.

That said, I'm really posting this to share a funky little gem I found. I just stumbled across an odd little song called "Miracles" from a rap group called Insane Clown Posse.

I'm not really a fan of this group, or rap in general, but I received a link in email to an SNL parody of the song and it led me back to the original. From what I can gather this group is an odd combination of silly, vulgar, and cheesily theatrical but it's all lighthearted... most of their work is not along the lines of "Miracle", but I think there's no denying there are real signs of Higher Consciousness in this song. What I take away from this is a celebration of the myriad of wondrous and joyful things that this 3D creation has to offer, and I find it somehow both hilarious and inspirational at the same time and am struck yet again at the higher consciousness I see sprouting up from the most unexpected places every day.

There was a lot of criticism that this song was a celebration of total ignorance and was incredibly stupid... that's even what prompted the SNL skit, but I just don't see it that way. Check it out and see what you think... though warning there is some vulgar language in the lyrics:

Les Crane - Desiderata (1972)

You are a child of the universe,
No less than the trees and the stars;
You have a right to be here.
And whether or not it is clear to you,
No doubt the universe is unfolding as it should

I took Carla's advise and just went for the things i think my heart is longing for and it seems odd - as i have always been a very very understanding and helpful person - maybe even t a point i felt strangled and helpless about myself - so i am now standing up to myself and just start doing things and see if this is going to get me one spiral on my way up or bounce back at the same resistance as earlier - which i right now doubt for being determined to do things differentlyHeart
thank you monica, thank you Carla, thank you fourm, thank you don, thank you jum, thank you confederation - i love youHeart

Hi, special music fans.

Read a few messages down, to understand to do the notes this way:
"It's actually single notes, not chords."

Blue skies.
Cave Man, by Chris Smither

This beautiful song brought tears to my eyes.

It's one of those rare songs that you want to listen to over and over.

Most of my incarnations were paleolithic. I am a cave man who has found himelf in an uncomfortable, but necessary incarnation, in the 21st century at the end of the cycle. One last time around the wheel.....

All of my life, I felt like I was misplaced in time. My favorite activity as a boy was to play at being a cave man. I made spears and clubs out of whatever I could find. I collected arrowheads and other Indian artifacts from the fields around my house; held them in my hand, and wondered why I wasn't back in those days. I would sit and watch a tree or a bird for an hour at a time.

It will be a glorious day when I can stand in the light and recall all of those lives in detail.

I liked that song! It kinda reminded me of the clever lyrics that are characteristically found in country music songs, which I'm starting to find myself falling in love with after being "forced" to listen to them 8 hours a day at work.

I love the music from the Secret Garden. Especially Nocturne... kinda dark and beautiful, it stirs up your emotions.

OH NO, IT'S STUCK IN MY HEAD AGAIN NOW!! I thought I was finally through with that once I finished the Mass Effect games... haha! :p I do like the song though, as well as the other one you posted. Very relaxing. Smile

I always knew I was going to absolutely love trance music. I've been avoiding listening to it until now because I know how much I'll love it. Well, I finally gave in and got a bunch of trance music yesterday. This is all I'm gonna listen to for awhile! lol

When listening to other types of music, I receive visualizations of abstract shapes. Although they can be meaningful and beautiful, they aren't as meaningful as my trance music visualizations. I was surprised to find visualizations of spheres with arcing energy currents and orbiting particles when I listened to trance. Wow! The synth sound that's broken up to create arpeggios brings the visualization of fractal light. The colors tend to be red/white, while vocals or other evocative sounds jump into the visualization with a blue or green hue. I realized that trance music, to me anyway, is kinda the language of the physical universe. Red ray = matter, being mostly white because it's in tune with the Creator from passing through the last octave's 8th density. The blue/green sounds represent physical lifeforms making their homes on these spheres. And of course the spheres with particles or arcs = stars with planets or atoms.

I read somewhere that "The universe exists in a natural and continual state of ecstasy." Doesn't it make sense then, that we take a drug we've named "ecstasy" and go to raves to listen to hours of trance music? It's a form of experiencing oneness.

Crank it up and remember to let your subconscious have a listen too!

Also, from that same band's album Free Hand, a song for those who think (or hope) that this might be our last time around the third-density wheel:

ah ya. I love it. though I have to say, the division bell is my favorite album. its very love oriented. Shine on you crazy diamond is amazing.

you know there is word they are getting back together for a festival near my austin. Texas.

hmmmm Dio as well. He recently died. Dio was all about following your dreams no matter how insane they were, in fact he encouraged the insanity!

here, this track always leaves me in awe

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ed5EbCJzo5I

maybe a little heavy for all the relaxing music on this forum, but it has such deep meaning as all his songs do.
Heard of Dio, but never heard Dio. Until now - thanks. I like it, big fan of rock. Saw AC/DC recently, oh yeah!

If they do, and you're close, jump on it! I'm about to buy the Pulse DVD as that show was simply amazing.

Jars of Clay - Boys(Lesson One)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kemmlVEYciM

The sweetly elegiac "Boys (Lesson One)," is a techno-acoustic lullaby of lessons passed from father to son over an insistent electronic drum pattern that suggests these lessons can't be taught quickly enough -- time marches on and childhood ends too soon.

"Adults aren't calling children up into adulthood in a way where they can ask hard questions about what real life looks like," Steve Mason says. "Questions about the things that come along and break hearts and move them into adulthood. Boys' captures the desire of a father to talk to his son in a way that doesn't lie about how hard living is. And it does it with love and a radical trust in the belief that God isn't afraid of our questions."
Hello my dear firends, I want to share with you my last creation. I'm working on a soloist record called "Program Of A Dead Machine" who talk about my sorrow and pain, the hard moment when I lost my father three years ago, my spiritual path and my awakening. My genre is not easy to understand because when someone thinks about relaxation, meditation and focusing on the Infinite generally thinks about easy and soft music. The base of my music is metal progressive that gently meets ambient music and metaphysical atmospheres. Heavy sound of metal remember me the noise/sound that I heard every time I left my body for an OOBE. I can feel this energy that is very scary, but when you accostumed with it you feel this energy healing you and hunderstand that this energy never hurts you. So my music is heavy and strong but for me is loveling and moving at the same time. I know it's a difficult concept to comprehend, but give me a chanceBig Grin

The song I share with you is not heavy, is the only song in the record that haven' t heavy sound and I think it can be an ambient song and talk about the human path
