It seems to be able to cause many physical/mental problems.
It's something i only learn the existence of recently for exemple with the Edith Fiore's book "The unquiet deads".
Ra speaks very briefly about this but I can't recall the exact quote. They basically say that some entities feel unready to transition fully to their appropriate time/space inner plane and as an act of will, or resistance, remain here somewhat in space/time. I can only share what I would do if I felt mentally/emotionally drained from the "hangers on".
I would buy some dead sea or Himalayan salt, then I would fill up a glass, or maybe a jug of water and imagine my favourite person, film/book/games character, teddy bear, whatever image inspires me towards loving feelings and project such an image into the water. This will charge, or harmonise the water. Then I would sit on a swept wooden or laminate floor (preferably wooden) and sprinkle the water around me in a circle, as best I can. Then I would sprinkle some of the salt over the circle of water while assertively requesting any entities attached to me to find their way home. I would also visualise the most inspiring image helping them home. For me it would be the BFG character holding their hand.
My guess is that would do the trick

Though belief comes at several levels and the more you know rather than think something will be as intended the more efficacious the magical working ends up being. like I know this salt will dispel, rather than I think the salt will dispel. That is the intention behind the incantations provided, but to go beyond the incantations themselves, really it is the gravity well of energy which is proportionate to the intention.

Also applying them by request/petition to your deceased loved one, they will undoubtedly hear your request and plea if they are open to it under free will directorate. I dunno about your relative, however this will remove all entity attachments to the self. Whether or not it can remove attachments to a family member depends on their willingness to think about the situation and either accept or reject coming to terms or peace with the situation ultimately.
