Well that sounds like a practical way of saving the planet.
Nice that you are making full use of your new found abilities.Smile
I had a dream that someone was giving birth to a baby. I couldn't tell if it was a boy or a girl, i only saw the head. I had some type of medical container with something in it. I got the idea the Child came from there? I then walk up 3 stairs and see two mythical looking entities they didn't have physical bodies but looked just like humans. They had a fiery orange glow.
I had a dream last night where I was driving a car in China somewhere, and I was stopped in front of a gate. The gate opens, and this 3 or 4 year old walks out, smoking a cigarette. He just walks past, no big deal, and I, of course, am a bit taken aback by a child that young smoking. That was pretty much the lasting image.

thoughts: it's been on my mind the insidious nature of cultural habits, and how we are blind to them for the most part. It's like the accent we speak with. We don't really recognise our habits until they are contrasted with something else. And with the globalisation of western culture, it is less apparent to get opportunities for cultural contrast.

What habits do I/we have, that are as destructive and pernicious as smoking cigarettes, and yet we started thinking/practising them at such an early age that we can't even see the destructive nature of them until it manifests as illness and disease?

and to be specific, this speaks to the cultural habits of a chinese culture, which is the prism through which both my parents saw the world, and which stamped everything about my upbringing. I think there are still a few root thoughts which need exposing in this area for me.
Haven't been sleeping too well lately but one short dream stuck with me. I was in the ocean and there were huge waves. I saw a family of humpback whales swimming and I asked someone if they would be able to come up for air when the waves were so high. He answered "of course they can" I'm not sure who this person was but as I was watching them, the pod split apart and this huge albino humpback came barreling through right towards me. Unfortunatly my alarm woke me up at this point but I wonder what significance the albino whale held.
i just got to spend 6+ hrs with edward snowden in my dreamland. that was weird

in most of the parts he was a teacher & i was in his class. in 1 part he gave us an odd assignment that was something like finding & getting a letter in some weird thingy full of letters then he said, "this will be therapeutic for me..." but i quickly realized it was an impossible assignment. i found the letter 'k' but couldn't get it out or something like that then i started telling everyone in the class not to bother trying. in another part he told me i had "the kinks"...lots of bizarre, unshareable, parts
For me to have dreams that are frightening or disturbing is rare, usually less than once a year. However, all of the dreams I have had for the past couple of weeks have been unpleasant; this hasn't happened before. In one of them, a smoky, wispy ghost flew around through the house terrorizing everyone; it was the most frightening dream I've ever had. Many of the dreams have involved destruction or catastrophe to a house. Since "house" is usually a metaphor for "body" or "incarnational vehicle" in my dreams, this suggests that I may not have much longer to live; and, indeed, I have been suffering from angina frequently recently.

Last night I had a vivid dream that was disturbing, but involved me doing violent things.

I found myself in Spain in the 1930s. I, and several other young men, were seated in a building on simple wooden chairs. We were facing a Spanish military officer in Nationalist uniform. The officer was quite like the "Colonel" in the movie El Labyrinto del Fauno; not as vain, but every bit as ruthless and disciplined. So I'll refer to him as "the Colonel". I and the other young men were not in uniform, and had no rank, but somehow we had been forced to become aides-de-camp to the colonel. The others looked bewildered and afraid.

On the Colonel's tie was a strange creature, that I can only describe as looking like a cross between a large black scorpion, and a toothbrush. We could sense that this creature was powerful and dangerous, and possessed some information that the Nationalist forces needed, so we had to figure out how to get the information from it without it harming the Colonel in the process.

The scene switched immediately to the kitchen of the building. I was present along with the Colonel, his chef, and someone who appeared to be a captive, a man suspected of supporting the socialists. He was seated in a chair, and his hands may have been tied, as they were around back of the chair. Apparently the Colonel was attempting to intimidate him, and was succeeding, as the man's fear was evident on his face. The Colonel was showing me some salmon steaks that would comprise part of his lavish breakfast. He handed me one, fresh-frozen and shrink-wrapped, and I could tell that it was not the Atlantic salmon one would have expected, but King Salmon from Alaska. I complimented the Colonel on the salmon, hoping he might offer me some, but he didn't, instead showing me the eggs, cheese, chorizo, etc, that would accompany the salmon for him.

In the next scene we (the aides) were again seated in an arc, around a slightly raised landing in front of the Colonel's private office. The captive was bound and seated next to the Colonel on the landing. The Colonel was interrogating him in Spanish, in a quiet and subtle but threatening manner. He produced some papers, read a few quotes from them, and then tossed them dismissively on the floor next to me. I wondered whether I should pick them up. The Colonel turned to me, scowled, and said to me in English, "Do you need a job??", and glanced at the papers. I got the message and picked them up, and straightened them up in my lap. The Colonel then got up, grabbed the captive by his collar, and dragged him into the private office. I wanted desperately to see what was in the office, but figured I would probably be shot if I entered, so I remained seated. In a few short moments the Colonel emerged with the captive.

In the next scene, I was at the top of a grand staircase in the building. The stairs were about 10 feet wide, and 5 stories high, and built of beautiful mahogany. Each flight had four courses, making 90-degree right turns, and at each floor, the stairs passed through a doorway. To the right of each doorway was an infantry-style rifle rack, each holding not the standard 7mm Mauser carbines of 1930s Spanish military issue, but rather a hodgepodge of firearms....German, Spanish and French, some outdated, and some in varying states of disrepair or disassembly. I wandered my way down the stairs and upon passing through each doorway examined the firearms. Suddenly, as I was standing on the third story, I was summoned from below; I was needed by the Colonel for some urgent reason. Quickly I examined the rifle rack to my right, and noticed among the old rifles a Thompson submachine gun. I picked it up and examined it to see if it was in good working order and it appeared to be so; I removed the magazine, found it loaded, reinserted it, and scurried down the stairs.

At the bottom of the stairs I found the Colonel and the captive, and the other aides, who were all armed with Mausers. The Colonel ordered us to escort the captive outside, and across the plaza to another building on the other side. We exited the building holding the captive at gunpoint, to find the plaza full of young, very tall, beefy people, most of whom seemed to Socialists who were hostile to us. Most of them were blonde and did not look like Spaniards.

Quickly, we found ourselves, minus our captive, in a corner of the plaza. We were confronting several of the Socialists, three men and a woman, all very large and beefy. They had their backs to the large stone walls, although it seemed as if they had manipulated us into that situation. They started speaking to us in an insulting and hostile manner, unafraid of our weapons. After a few seconds of this, one of them, a man about 6'8" and 300 pounds, said something hostile to me and started toward me. I realized that the situation was spiraling out of control and that I would have to do something; so I leveled the Thompson at him and put three rounds into his solar plexus. Amazingly, there was no blood; he grimaced and staggered, but did not fall. Then, the woman, who was built like an offensive lineman, said something threatening to me. I turned to her and shot her three times in the right kneecap. As before, there was no blood, or no visible wound; she grimaced in pain and staggered, but did not fall.

I have no memory of the dream after that; either it ended, or I just don't remember the rest.
I had a pretty interesting lucid dream. In the first part of the dream my mother and I were running from some men who were chasing us for some reason. My mother found a way to detonate a bunch of explosives in the area, hoping to kill the men, but I was also within range of the explosives, and I ran as quickly as I could so I wouldn't be killed. I wound up in a mostly empty room and saw a mirror on the far wall.

The moment I saw the mirror I realized I was dreaming. I walked over to it and said "Show me my soul." A beautiful bluish/indigo light streamed out of my third eye and danced around my body. The light was sentient and alive, and wondrous to look at. I felt a rush of lightness and joy and began to laugh. My body became so light I floated in the air. I woke up shortly after, in a very good mood.

This dream was an exception to an inability to remember many of my dreams lately, which is odd for me. I've also had a lot of frustrating, what I would call "filler" dreams that are just mish-mashed repeats of the day's activities- I've been working so much lately that I often simply return there in my dreams.
Yeah, work residue dreams are the worst. Sad

I had a dream the night before last that my husband and I were out camping with some people, and we were watching the birds flock into a tree. There were toucans and pheasants. My husband shot a pheasant, not for himself to consume but for one of the others. I was horrified and sad and had to walk away. None of the birds reacted to the gun shot/death, however - no judgement from them, I guess.

To compare, I'd much rather have dreams where my husband does something shockingly out of character but I get a message like "the birds ain't judgin' human folly yo" than waiting on an impossible amount of tables for 8 hours.
I dreamed I was outside of a building with 100's of doors. Each one I opened got progressively more complex until there was a Calculus room. I decided to backtrack and go to a simpler room. Then later I was floating.
I had a dream where I was taken to see a monkey in a little monkey sized suit who was able to speak english and accurately guess my height and weight. I thought it was the most incredible thing I'd ever seen.

I still don't seem to remember my dreams lately although I have been having some epicly long dreams and then they are gone once I get up.
I had a dream last night were i had to walk up this pathway on a large rock front. At the top was a large temple like a pyramid and a guide was at the front of it.

I followed him into the structure and saw two different rooms.
One was in complete darkness and the other through this darkness was a room of bright white light.

I got the impression that it was a type of initiation. I walked into the dark room and thinking that i could feel my way around the walls to the room with the white light but i lost my way as the feeling of the walls disappeared.

I was on the starship Enterprise that was flying over many other USS starships. I think we battled another ship, and I took my phaser rifle and shot at it through the window.
i saw a lot of my cousin named ambrose (that name means immortal one) in my dreamland last night - felt like he was in the dreams the whole night. then my parents visited me today then shortly after they left i heard them knock again then realized it was bc they forgot to tell me something. my mom said, "guess who we got to see yesterday! ambrose!"

there was a weird part where i was listening to someone talk & suddenly one of her words started dragging out endlessly. like imagine someone going to say the word 'drag' in a sentence but then saying, 'draaaaaaaaaaaaaa'...she kept dragging out the word so long that i realized there was no way she could be doing that & breathing at the same time then i concluded the cause was a glitch in reality
(12-30-2014, 12:09 PM)michael430 Wrote: [ -> ]Last night I dreamed I was watching a hot pink sportscar racing backwards down a busy Interstate. It was followed by a ton of big construction-type trucks also going backwards at nearly the same speed.

The car spun around and the driver (an average-looking woman) smiled and laughed like it was all a fun game. The trucks spun around after she did and there was no major disaster, though as "I" was watching it I was like OMG this is going to be a huge crash.

Anyone have any ideas at the symbolism? I've read a lot this morning about driving backwards in dreams, but I wasn't the one doing the driving in the dream so I don't quite get it.

Do you think it's symbolic of your homosexuality?

Hot pink sportscar with female driving it + very "masucline"/male energy vehicles chasing her, but doing it backwards/the wrong way - she spins around and laughs, and they mimic her - really "she" is in control of the game. "You" thought there was going to be disaster. The same speed = everyone playing the same game. Driving backwards is "wrong" or dangerous but everyone was following the leader. I think it shows that you are having fun even if you aren't "moving foward".

Just a few thoughts!
last night I had a dream about the 4 Elements.

It wasn't immediately obvious that this was what it was, but after enough sleuthing and matching up clues, it was how I determined that this was the relevant message for me.

there were 4 phases to the dream.

1) I was trying to cross from one side to another side, but there was like a chess-like grid across the ground. Some zones were hotter than others, and there were also opposing groups, much like on a chess board. (earth).

2) when I made it to the other side, I saw these penguins launching themselves across frozen ice, and sort of skiing on their bellies. They had to watch out for sharp protrusions and rocks though (water).

3) after I had fun watching the penguins, I sat down next to a shaman lady, and we had a conversation about the Earth in the first phase of the dream, and I showed her my feet which had been scorched. She said we all had techniques of being able to navigate those things (earth/experience) without getting harmed. She sort of represented air/communication.

4) I realised I needed to be moving, and I got up and looked around the corner, and thought that I had missed the bus. But there seemed to be a group of people from the first scene also waiting. The bus represents translocation, or movement from one environment to another. In other words, a transformation of the conditions in which the mind finds itself working in. A more tenuous link - but that of fire/transformation.

it wasn't obvious that this dream was pointing to the 4 elements. I had two clues which clicked. One, I had a strong impulse to start watching the cartoon series Avatar: the Last Airbender last night. I didn't get a chance to, but that series is all about the four elements.

The other clue, well, I guess it wasn't a clue as such, but rather when I sat down sincerely and tried analyzing the dream, it was part 2, the part to do with water which stuck most in my mind. Most notably that it was represented as frozen water, rather than liquid water, and that the fact of solidity created the obstacles that the penguins had to face because they could cause themselves harm sliding over rocks or sharp things. That's when it clicked that I could see the 4 phases as representing the 4 elements.

why I should be turning my attention/interest to the 4 elements at this stage, I don't know. But hey, that's the nature of guidance/faith for ya. It's trusting in the benevolence of these prompts, and being open enough to explore a new area of consciousness.
I had a rather involved dream last night. I was a 30-something Caucasian man in the Indian countryside, presumably many, many years in the past, though it was hard to tell because the people living there were very simple and rural and almost timeless in their existence. I seemed to be some sort of explorer. I was also a talented magician, both in ritual magic and a type of stage magic that involved the use of explosive powders. I quickly became enamored with a beautiful woman from one of the villages.

Soon I learned that some sort of royal army had been going through the country, killing many people and taking the land. These villagers had done nothing but farm their whole lives. They had little concept of warfare and self defense, and it was nothing short of a small genocide. The army was moving toward the village I had settled in, and I decided to use my magic to defend the villagers. The battle was long and taxing, and in the end the army was closing in on the woman and I, who had become separated from the others. I was throwing bombs filled with the explosive powder to keep them away from us but felt that we would soon be overrun.

Suddenly my body dissolved and I found myself in another dimension, facing what I realized was a god. Strangely, he looked more like common depictions of Zeus or Jehovah than any of the Indian gods. He was very angry, and told me that I must immediately stop interfering in the battle. There was a deeper reason behind the slaughter that I wasn't capable of understanding and I was only hurting people with my actions. The people had to die. The woman I loved had to die, and he told me that if I caused any more trouble she would die a slow and horrible death instead of the quick death meant for her.

I can't recall the entirety of the conversation, but with growing dread I realized that there was nothing I could do to save the woman or her village. The god could not be reasoned with, nor could the royal army, and my magic was not strong enough to hold them all at bay. I did not want to see the woman I loved suffer because of my boldness, and with a heavy heart I swore that I would not interfere further. I was then plopped back into my own dimension, far from the battle so I wouldn't have to see its results.

Had the god not pulled me away, I likely would have been killed in the battle regardless. His action seemed more a covert attempt to save me than to quell actions that ultimately would not have succeeded in turning the tide of battle.

The next thing I remember I was myself again, talking with Unbound about an ancient order of assassins, and somehow Napolean Bonaparte was involved. I then woke up.
Last night I was repaving a large parking lot of a grocery store, one pebble at a time. I had lite brite pieces for the white arrows. The lines were really run down, and I was making it new. It was a daunting task, but I was perfectly happy doing it. It was tedious work as well. I had no sense of time.
That sounds like a very positive dream you had, Gem. You were laboriously paving white arrows, and happy about it? Sounds like a "working to be on the right track" kind of dream to me. If you see the the waking version of this anytime soon (big lit up signs slapping you in the face, pointing you in a certain direction) you should probably heed the call.
last night i dreamed i was sitting at a huge table with lots of people & partook in some kind of "last supper" before a "holy warfare" that would be "governments vs people"...felt like i was eating 5+ hours

Not often I have such a vivid dream that crosses over in to the real world.

It was this swampy, fish-like woman with scales and long hair (my inner demon), like an evil mermaid without the fish-tail aha I don't remember what exactly lead up to it, we freed her from somewhere and as we continued on we got swept down this enourmous spinning waterfall device and she set a trap at the end of broken glass but when we came down to it I managed to avoid it and attack her, we had swords and stabbed her multiple times and then I stabbed her right in the solar plexus with this weird like bbq skewer sword then I actually woke up for a moment, I felt the charge of energy in my own solar plexus suddenly release and took a big gasp of air as I woke up and then I just fell back in to the dream and was like looking at the sword and just absorbing the experience, totally conscious in this just black limbo and then I decide to wake up aha

I think I did a major solar plexus release through this dream, I feel weird aha

Sounds like you have been visiting Mars.
Consciousness expanding/ascending throughout the solar system.

Bet you can't wait to reach Saturn.

sea-level rising. sea-level rising. keep dreaming about sea-level rising

along with boatloads of sea-level rising dreams last night i also dreamed that a tsunami swept me away, along with the house i was in, & it killed me quickly. i found myself dry & in 1 piece right after being killed then i said, "that hurt." i don't recall feeling any pain, however
