I am really happy you like it. Smile
Clannad, you said? Do you have a favorite song in mind ...?

Heart /L/L/L/ Heart

Ohhhh, no favorites. . . . I have several Clannad CDs - I do like the theme song they did for a television Robin Hood series awhile back. I think it's actually called Robin, the hooded man.

Light and love and sweet dreams. I'm off to bed!

Ahhhhh, yes, that's the one about robin hood - I just love the melody of that one!

And yes, the I Will Find you is also one of my favorites! Love the lyric to that one, more than the melody.

Also love Bruce Cockburn: Creation's Dream - might be my very favorite "worship" song!

Thank you Ruth. Heart

Now and because I have a deep appreciation of the artistic richness of ALL cultures, I would like to share with you the "Hoomii" sometimes spell "Humai" accompanied by the traditional Mongolian instrument, the "Marin Whoor".
"Hoomii" is an overtone singing technique also known as 'throat singing'. Singers can sing 2 to 4 notes simultaneously!

From the many throat singers, I have chosen this young and dedicated Mongolian musician

This is another one, thistling with the throat!

This one is a Russian overtone/throat singer from Tuvan, whose name is Kondar-ol Ondar

Another amazing performance this time from Enkh Jargal

Zaz - Je Veux (links to a cozy LoFi version for genuine street music vibes):

I wantlyrics

I want love, joy, good spirit
It's not your money that will make me happy
I want to die with a hand on my heart
Let's go together, let's discover my freedom,
Forget all your prejudice, welcome to my reality
(refrain)
Filosopher (sorry, don't know how to insert the heart, but love it)

That Zaz - Je Veux is freakin' awesome!!!!! Thanks for sharing it!

Whitefeather - I've heard the thistling before and enjoy it - I especially enjoyed the first video that gives some detailed explanations about the art form.

Thanks for sharing!
Thank you Ruth and filosopher! Smile

Oh Whitefeather! You made me cry. I used to watch Tennessee Ernie Ford with my Grandmother when I was a young girl living in the Shenandoah Valley in Virginia. I'd forgotten how moving a performer he is. Thank you so much for posting this.

Hi Conifer,
I'd love to hear your songs however none of your links can be opened on my end. Sad
Whitefeather - I too love Secret Garden!

Conifer16 - I can't open your links either. Sorry.

Light and love!
Thanks Conifer16!
You know in feburary I will probably change my username to Conifer17 or whatever best describes me at 17. So don't get too used to typing Conifer16 Smile. and what do you think of Mumford and sons?
They remind me of Florence and the machine.

-Conifer16(for now)- Adonai Vasu Borragus

Lol(just because I'm happy) Smile
I really enjoyed Mumford & sons - love the voice of the lead singer - very mysterious sounding.

LOL - you read my mind! I was wondering as I was posting my comment when you'd be changing your username to Conifer17! LOL! I was trying to think of something a little more permanent to suggest - like conifer forever or enduring or something like that.

You rock!
I have no idea what I would change it into either, no name comes to mind right now.
I don't think I could change it into something permanent as I won't ever be permenant, seeing as we are all ever changing. So I think I would just have to change it when I change.

-Conifer16- Adonai Vasu Borragus
Conifer - Great country folk songs, nice. Smile

This piece is played by the Master of Pan Flute, Gheorge Zamfir.
