This seems too good to be true. But let's hope it is! Testing was done today(Oct 28th), at the end of the 9th wave of the Mayan Calendar and we have Cold Fusion tomorrow. WOW!

Wow, it is fascinating to read about this technology. It has clearly been kept "secret" by the media.

Although I have no idea why you would correlate this achievement with the end of the 9th wave of the Mayan Calendar. Is there reason to suspect the two are linked?

Clean energy for the New Day?

This seems to be Rossi's site, with an open letter to Obama: http://rossifocardifusion.com/ .

Also found this in YT:

Yeah, I was thinking about New FREE Energy for a new golden age or the start of Harvest. =D This site has more information.

Whoa, killer!
Does any have more information on the 'genset' of coils that's used to give the initial energy to get it going?

Apparently it was kept connected to the unit throughout the demonstration and produces about the same amount of kWh as the unit.

Otherwise, it's an intriguing development.
Idea sounds great. But the reactor results have still never been independently verified. In other words, it's hearsay.

They're simply regular heating coils. The advertised test conditions leave plenty of room for plausible deniability, possibly intentional. "It never worked" is a good impression to leave sometimes, especially if you're not after fame.

Judging from this article, I doubt that this energy will be "free."

we don't need him. the idea is in the cloud. another will invent cold fusion.

We don't need Rossi because another will invent cold fusion? Who is going to invent cold fusion? What have I missed?

I think it was more intended to be funny. "it's in the cloud". I took it to mean, the knowledge is always floating around, awaiting our super density-ness to simply grab it. That's what Tesla did, right?

There are conceptual models floating around to help create new things, yes. Doesn't quite work the way oceania suggested though. Just wondering about cold-fusion in particular. Most people do not think it exists. Even Rossi says his work is not cold fusion.

Ever read a Tesla biography? If not, you might want to read "Telsa - Master of Lighting".

3DMonkey

No. Is this an arbitrary suggestion, or something else?

It's an arbitrary suggestion, but 'what Tesla did' was a lot of different groundbreaking things and quite an interesting read without getting any technical details.

if cold fusion has been invented, it can be invented by anyone. it's in the cloud. haven't you guys seen the Outer Limits episode? it's so great http://www.dailymotion.com/video/xilq7a_...shortfilms
"In the cloud" refers to our access to a higher consciousness, from what I can manage...

Just as all major scientific discoveries were made congruently all over the world with no communication between inventors, it seems that anytime we make a giant leap in our understanding, it is never limited to just one mind. The knowledge will, over time, creep from the original mind into the great pool of minds and get planted elsewhere within the greater higher self incarnated elsewhere.

Unfortunately, the higher self has very little control of our patent and IP laws. Until these things are removed, the barrier to entry will always be too high to move forward. You always need to pay to play, and as long as corporate law rules the roost, we can never expect to be enlightened in our invention of new things.
actually it was in the pool to begin with. that's where the original got it. as new technologies become available the information is in the cloud and the people who access can get that information. the patent is a hindrance only if the person refuses to share it.

3DMonkey

I hate the patent. The patent is the worst man made invention ever.
yeah inventions should be shared.
Capitalism spawned the patent. Once this gets out on the market if it works, China and other countries in need of cheap energy will not care too much for patent laws. They will replicate and make it cheap.

3DMonkey

Oh yeah! I forgot about China Wink
Rossi's experiment and E-Cat tech has seem to pick up steam in general media. We seem to be on to something. Smile

The awakening is everywhere! Just five years even two years ago nobody would really talk like this, but now it is everywhere!
Quote:On October 28, 2011, Andrea Rossi demonstrated his 1 megawatt E-Cat system to his first customer, who had engineers/scientists on hand to test/validate its performance. Due to a glitch, it provided 479 kW of continuous power for 5.5 hours during the self-sustained mode.

I remember reading this from a mainstream source like Wired or someone and scratching my head at how cynical they were about it. It's... free... energy... why are you calling the guy a fraud if there's no evidence that he's a fraud? (Referring to Wired)

Anyway, pretty incredible. The home unit gets me excited: http://ecat.com/ecat-products/ecat-home
$1.5 million is slightly out of my range. But a $2k home unit is something I can get behind!
Trailer for "The Believers," the new documentary from 137 Films:

Oh yeah, as far as OP. Almost a year later with nothing at all new learned.
