this is a very interesting passage which takes place within the larger context of 'overall energy transfers' here:

http://www.lawofone.info/results.php?ses...73&ss=1#21

one subset of ENERGY TRANSFERS is that of a mental transfer of energy between a teacher and student.

we have it here:

Quote:73.21 In the realm of the mental bodies there are variations of mental energy transferred. This is, again, dependent upon the knowledge sought and the knowledge offered. The most common mental energy transfer is that of the teacher and the pupil. The amount of energy is dependent upon the quality of this offering upon the part of the teacher, and regards the purity of the desire to serve, and the quality of information offered and, upon the part of the student, the purity of the desire to learn and the quality of the mind vibratory complex which receives knowledge.

two of the key factors in this exchange are:

* the purity of the desire to serve (on the part of the teacher)

* the purity of the desire to learn (on the part of the student)

- -

we can see how problematic this transfer might be when it comes to the institutions we know of as 'schools'. The teacher is quite often willing, but the students are not there by any choice of their own. The subjects are not of their own choosing either.

Yes, and add to that that teachers are often oppressed due to lack of freedom in teaching, administrations, lack of funding.

Montessori schools are an exception to choice of subject matter for the students.

As long as we have indoctrination as part of the goal of schooling, there will be substandard education.

–––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––

Regarding our own seeking: the saying comes to mind, "When the student is ready, the teacher appears."

It seems that the precursor is our readiness. The teachers are always there, all around us, within us, all the time. And we will attract, or become aware of, the quality of information resonant with who we are and where we are at.

So, with a truly open mind and heart, we should be able to resonate with, and become aware of, quality information.

Sometimes it can be a problem even when there is a pure desire of the teacher to teach, and the student to learn, because the teacher is quite simply too hot, and you just don't listen to what s/he has to say. BigSmile

EDIT: Awesome thread btw! BigSmile

Melissa
