Is it a certain feeling you have? Or have you witnessed a "miracle"? What is it that allows you to have faith in something that may not be real? The only reason I used to believe is because I was afraid of going to hell. I never really had that gut feeling that God truly existed

Hi Miche! Welcome to Bring4th!

Have you read the Law of One books?

We're not much into hell around here.

Please respond so I know you're a real person and not a spambot. We got spammed awhile back so I want to be sure.

blessings to you!

ayadew

It's a bot monica Smile
I concur...

Annoying as hell since I wrote such an excellent reply to one of his other topics..

Bots need love too!
lol Ali. Ditto, though thought is never a waste of time. Even if we are answering the bot, we as answering ourself.

As thus, I find the bot to be a good one, and I hope it poses more questions of such a thoughtful nature!
Seriously guys, none of you saw battle star galactica, if you did, you'd know that all bots are meant to be thrown out of the nearest airlock... You have to draw the line. If you don't they're going to come back with more. And before you know it, we'll all be chatting binary. I'd personally suggest giving it a reprogramming with a large axe, or if that fails we can put nipple clamps on it's major diodes. Maybe change it's rom cd with Rick Astley's greatest hits.

Or *shudder* send them on a gosub without a return!

Love and light, I know, but bots also have a saying, it goes something like this:

"010010010110011000100000011110010110111101110101001000000110001101100001011011100010000001110010011001010110000101100100001000000111010001101000011010010111001100101100001000000111100101101111011101010010011101110110011001010010000001110011011100000110010101101110011101000010000001110100011011110110111100100000011011010111010101100011011010000010000001110100011010010110110101100101001000000110111101101110001000000111010001101000011010010111001100100001001000000011101001010000"

So there!

Ugh, my binary's a 'bit' rusty. Wink

Now how am I going to delete this bogus bot thread, with all this cool binary discussion going on?
Lol, Why am I not surprised ayadew that you took the time to decode? Smile

Monica, me and ayadew offcourse have been chatting binary since kindergarten. We would never need a translator. But there is a handy translator function online for all the rest of you Wink

Did anyone try "Alter" statement in Cobol? It's the son of "GoTo"

"If you ever encounter (this), proceed with extreme caution. You have found either a bizarre and subtle bug or a vicious marauding style of programming. Quite possibly both"

Horrors! This is giving me flashbacks!

I love his terminology: pathological...malevolent...vicious. Yeah, alter is nasty!

I always liked GOTO, though. I don't think it should be taboo. It can be very useful when used properly, in a logical and consistent way, inside procedures only, never to jump out of perform or jump to some distant region of code.

Yikes, this is accessing parts of my brain that I haven't visited in awhile...now THAT is scary!

Hi Miche,

Welcome to the forum.

By the way, where is "FREFRE"; it is your location I understand but, in which country is it?

I would like to answer you but what is the question?
I notice that your words contain mostly assumptions which would require to be clarified first.

That leads me to wondering which part of the Ra Material you are familiar with and, whether you have had the time to peruse some of the Hatonn and Qu'o transcripts?
These readings would allow you to grasp some peculiarity regarding the vocabulary used in those chanellings, vocabulary which we re-use when we discuss these topics in the forum.

Here below is an interresting link to one of the transcript, which could cover the subject of "god".

If there wasn't a God, there couldn't be a devil.
Only a devil would be so devious as to invent spambots.
Spambots exist, therefore God must too.

Check out Monica's post (#2) at the beginning of the topic. He's not someone that actually wants to have an intellectual conversation, just drops a message then never returns, too bad it could have been an interesting conversation :O

Hi Whitefeather,

My apologies if I may have confused you and for any resulting hair loss. GOTO top is a reference to the use of the term "GOTO" used in writing code, and in reference an earlier post in this thread. It was an attempt at humour, but obviously failed in this case.

How to Spot a Bot
Generic name > Broken english generic post. > Nonsensical signature > Check profile > Location generic but non distinct > Time zone does not match location > Only posts a few times in succession and then not again.
What the Bot had Hoped To Accomplish
The signature would have contained an advertising link, but Steve has foiled them at present by dis-allowing url's in signatures.

I hope that helps Smile

Haha! lol. I had decided to gave Miche the benefit of the doubt since he could have been a lost guy in need of guidance, really.

Actually i think that you may be right about the signature; there is a new link added today at the place of his signature, precisely.

Thanks for clarification. Smile

Ahh, what a great example of how Spambots can detune a forum without even knowing it! :-)

Yes, you all are correct in your assessment. This user is on the "bot list". Specifically, a bunch of automated users are coming in with a consistent e-mail domain and similar IP range. Not to mention that within a few days, you can count on the signatures converting into a commercial product or service.

Please, all, keep pressing the "report" button whenever you see a quirky message like this. We want to keep the forums moving fluidly, and without the disruption, confusion, or misrepresentation that comes from being part of a wave of bots.

As much as it sounds like it's an uphill battle with the machines, it really isn't. Just flag the messages, and Monica or I will jump in and take care of business. We are also looking into other measures that will further discourage bots from posting, as it would require a lot more "human" effort on their part.

Keep up the great work, and do any of you oppose changing the title of this thread to something along the lines of, "How to detect a bot?" If anyone has a better title, please feel free to recommend!

Thanks,
Bring4th Admin Team
One word to stop them from even registering: captcha
I just had this goofy idea of how much fun it would be to mess with the guys at work with a bot that talks dirty LoL! Actually I remember a website that you could input a phone number and it would call the number and talk dirty with a womans voice.
Captcha's are no longer the answer though, there's websites where people can enter 3 or 4 captchas and "win a price"... These tricked individuals will inadvertently give a bot access to captcha protected sites.
I have forum with around 10,000 posts.

I used to have spammy problem with 100 spams daily.
I use recaptca.net (for sign-up) and stopforumspam.com (for email address check).

Since I used it, it stopped almost all spammers.
Now only the really desperate and persistent ones post to my forum, but that's like once every 2 weeks.
You may have forgotten since you all have been here for a while now, but this forum does use Captcha.

I made some changes to this forum with respect to IP filtering, so hopefully we will see a great decrease in spam activity. But with that said, please make sure you hit the "report" button on anything that seems out of place.

Cheers!
Steve
Oh we did do Captcha? I forgot. I have read that as we get older, we tend to get forgetful. Also, I have read that as we get older, we tend to get forgetful. Also, I have read...
