I don't want to put words in Ashim's mouth, but in context, I think he was talking about anything that involves abdicating your own thought processes because someone else claims to have the one and only way to be right with God. Carla's made clear that her Christianity is about the love of Christ, not about dogma. And her channeled sources consistently point out that they want people to only take what resonates with them, with no fear that any particular greeting is some kind of last chance to be saved. That seems pretty far from the kind of occult manipulations that Ashim warned against.
Yikes, I want to quickly clarify what I meant! I most definitely was not implying that Carla's participation in a Christian church was anything remotely like what Ashim was referring to! Rather, I was attempting to illustrate an example of someone whom we know has not abdicated his/her own thought processes, and yet does get value out of an organization that could result in the abdication of thought processes for others.
What I meant was that 2 people might attend the same church (whether Christian or some other religion) and 1 might abdicate his/her own thought processes, while the other might not...2 people might belong to a secret society or coven and 1 might abdicate his/her own thought processes, while the other might not.
My point being that it's not so much the particular religion/coven/secret society as it is whether it's appropriate for that particular person...what that particular person is able to get out of the experience. For example, I used to attend a Pentecostal Christian church whose doctrine I strongly disagreed with. But I loved their worship service! It was very uplifting! The person sitting next to me would likely have thought I was destined for 'hell' had s/he known what I believe!
If the person sitting next to me abdicated his/her own thought processes, is it the fault of the church/pastor? I don't think so. I would venture to say that most members, and even most leaders, of such organizations are of mixed polarity (just trying to polarize like the rest of us), and the person will experience it in a way that is in alignment with their chosen path.
Granted, some organizations are more blatantly controlling than others! And some 'cult' leaders decidedly STS! But, on the other hand, some well-intentioned religious leaders might actually (and perhaps unwittingly) produce the result of circumventing someone's independent thinking, because that is how that person perceived the situation.

You have to google hidden_hand, i forgot the underline. There you will find an exquisite description of the postingtactic of an avatar that came into a forum in the similar way i feel ashim has done. i do NOT say he is doing the same, i just say that right after he answered my post and someone mentioned hidden hand i googled and this blog "incidentally" came up.
I believe in meaningful coincidences, at least for myself and i feel i will stay away from the forum until things have settled because i don't feel comfortable here at the moment. Perhaps it's the unintentional effect of what happened here to show me personally to focus on my immediate surroundings and not get entangeled in these abstact discussions that just makes me feel alienated.

As I have said here before, I have a simple quote which I have used all my life for discernment of specific people or situations.
If one is standing in manure, they have but two choices. Continue standing in it and enjoy the smell, or walk away from it.
This forum is with the beauty of an open field, full of flowers, and the sun shining. Yes there is manure in this field, this thread, and I agree that walking away from it is a good idea, but to walk away from the manure you smell doesn't mean you have to walk completely out of the field. Simply avoid the steamy spots.

Wow...first to transiten...my friend of a couple years now (I think I can claim that right
) Darling....allow me to just give a few words. I think you and are were kinda used to be 'protected' at DC and we never had to 'stand tall' on our own there at DC. If DC would of been a open forum, this kinda of thing would of happened, and it would of took the people there as a whole to bring the balance and love. I always felt that the people there were plenty strong enough to do it so I always was pro for a open forum.
What I saw happen in Ashim threads was a entire ray of light come forth shining to him. It was made of many lights, strong and sure. They sent love (number 1 rule :-/) and with the balance of love, they sent questions and even showed a little doubt towards what Ashim was saying. Many here also detected the strange vibration, such as another self wanting to tell everyone what they needed to do. You ended up taking a personal attach more or less from Ashim, for he made many assumptions that you needed to work on that were just so far from the truth. But you had strength.....IT WAS STANDING BEHIND YOU AND BESIDE YOU. Did you not feel the beacons rise up around you? Did you not feel the love being shined....do you think Ashim was able to embrace that hug of love? I must stop there, for I will not stoop to the same level and make a list of things that 'someone' needs to work on
What is funny....is these types of vibrations that want to bring control and tell others where they are right and wrong.....they cant hold the embrace of love they will receive from here. So in our moments of showing a little doubt, with love, and showing we question, with love.....the love is going to conquer! If the person is not here for the reason to 'love all' and try to learn to 'accept love' (which is much harder then giving love)....they wont stay long.
In the end, I hope any human that is lacking love can come and experience what it is like to be 'accepted' 'unconditionally'. We have to remember Transiten, we are antoher self to these selfs. We need to stand strong. I believe there are soul here that are simply 'vibration holders'. They are here to hold this higher vibration...and that is it. They will stand tall and are somewhat like warriors that fight with love.
Dont let a guest who needs to be offered food and drink run you from your home. Offer the kindness that must be, for you are love. You say you feel like there was a sense of 'control' from Ashim.....but you gave him control when you decided that you were going to leave the forum due to him.
There are lights and love that cant be seen that are working on these very thing. To think Ashim isnt in others minds....he has been in mind, and I hope he can find a way to release the Earthly worries and start a path to his spiritual self more. We must find the light in the darkest of places, well, at least that is what my path is for. I know we are all on different walks....so in the end, no I respect what you need to do for whatever reasons. But please dont think for a moment you need to leave due to a thread that was a bit off from our own vibrations. If anything, we need to try to show patients and allow room for understanding, if there is any offered (which there was not).
As much as its our job to learn about ourselves, we also need to allow the room for others to learn about us. Why? For they might find reasons in our lights, for their lights to change. They might find a peace that they ache for. They might find a love that they are seeking.
To others, please forgive my mentioning of names in this thread....but some things need to get discussed, it obviously has affected personal foundations. I worry not for I know there are warriors of love here, who know, nothing can conquer love.

Well hello again!
Just want to add that i've had this codependencycomplex for 60 years and now that i'm a grown up girl i immensly enjoy the freedom of will i have slowly realized is a reality, which means i can walk away from any person or situation that makes me feel uneasy without feeling any guilt. I do not have any obligation to shine my light on anyone if i feel that it's not the right thing to do for me. Sometimes one has to hide one's light to protect oneself. As I Ching so timely told me when i cast this hexagram and asked how to relate to the forum in this situation:
Hexagram nr 38 "The opposites". When pple are living in opposition they cannot perform great tasks together. Their views differ too much. The elements fire and water never blend but stick to their own nature. An educated person always keep her own character when she frequents persons that have the same interests but of another "nature" than herself. Bot one must not act too abruptly then the antagagonism only shapens.
6 in the 5:th line: If you find a trustable person, since you don't know him/her you are suspiscious in the beginning. But she fights the hindrances that separate you. Then it is ones duty to meet this person that shows her true nature and cooperate.
This hexagram changes to nr 10: You are in contct with a wild and unreachable person. If you behave in a proper manner you can get along even with pple that are easily irritated.
My interpretation of this is that i will preserve my character which is to withdraw for the time being (which i would have done anyway since i'm leaving soon for the eastcoast and my family there) and i will exert my free will do take a pause from the forum. But since there are many "trustble" pple here like litll lady that tries to "fight the hindrances that separate us" i will surely come back and see what happens here in january 2010.

It sounds like your need for a 'pause' is showing up in more ways then one then and a temp vacation may be the trick.
The sun is rising in Ophiuchus until around the 17 of Dec....if it makes any difference, we are in the time of the healer or the release. The one that tames the serpent or the one that lets the serpent go. Either way serves well for all.
