I've told you one of my "meeting my shadow self" stories. She wasn't very pretty, either. RE: The mysterious nature of time - Spaced - 03-19-2013 I've been making friends with my shadow recently. It's been taking a while, he kinda creeps me out haha but I've made a lot of progress in the last few days
RE: The mysterious nature of time - Confused - 03-19-2013 Hi, Ruth, GW and Spaced -- very interesting conversation. In the Ra material, there is very little on the Shadow, in my opinion. However, I think there is an allusion. Quote:40.15 Questioner: Thank you. A very important concept. Does the fact that basic vibration that we experience now is green true color, or fourth density, account for the fact that there are many mental effects upon material objects that are now observable for the first time in a mass way like the bending of metal by mind? I guess that is why the Shadow is not a very pretty thing! The Power and Purpose of Dreams RE: The mysterious nature of time - Ankh - 03-20-2013 In regards to "shadow self" discussion - I've met my mate's shadow self in one very vivid dream! :p Confused, do you still suffer from insomnia? :-/ RE: The mysterious nature of time - Confused - 03-20-2013 (03-20-2013, 09:32 AM)Ankh Wrote: In regards to "shadow self" discussion - I've met my mate's shadow self in one very vivid dream! :p Yes, Ankh, on and off, I do experience insomnia. But it is not as severe, as before. Thanks for caring
RE: The mysterious nature of time - Ruth - 03-20-2013 Confused - I wasn't aware that you suffer from insomnia. I do, too, sometimes. Like last night. I didn't sleep more than 2 hours last night. How did you improve your sleep and reduce the incidence of insomnia in your life? Ankh - it sounds like you have quite a story to tell. Care to share?
RE: The mysterious nature of time - Ankh - 03-21-2013 (03-20-2013, 04:40 PM)Ruth Wrote: Ankh - it sounds like you have quite a story to tell. We were in a wooden cottage, and he was in lying in bed, being sick, and looking like he does now. I took care of him. Then he got better and got up from the bed. We went out. It was night and it was winter. The cottage was in the woods and there was a little lake in front of us. Then he turned left and went into the woods. When he came back, he came back as a tall, naked woman. I knew beyond any doubts, as you sometimes just know in dreams, that it was him. He had blue/grey-ish skin and was covered with some kind of... slime? I was holding a jewel in my right hand and his focus was turned towards that jewel. I knew that this is what he wanted. I got afraid and threw it into the lake. I knew that he would go after this jewel, diving into the waters, seeking for it. And I threw it there because I didn't want him to touch me. I knew that if he would touch me, I would also get this... slime (?) on me, and get "dirty". I also knew that he would kind of... not leave me alone, but be... all over me or something... Difficult to explain although it is clear in my mind. The water in the lake was now dirty and slimy too, and he went after that jewel I threw in there. I see "shadow self" as a negative portion of unconscious mind which is depicted in the Transformation of the Mind Archetype, and that is why I saw his "shadow self" as this woman. The most interesting thing though is that, after I told him about my dream, he told me that he has too had dreams, before mine, where his own negative portion of the mind came to him, tempting him to do "bad" things, looking exactly as I described her, but only older. He too saw her as this naked woman with blue/grey-ish skin and some kind of... sticky slime on her... I didn't know about that, that he also has been dreaming about her, looking like that. What a connection we seem to have! And just yesterday we experienced another telephatic connection which was awesome! And it's been like this even before we became mates.

In my perception, this water of orange ray is always grimy/slimy. It was slimy when I turned towards the lake just before throwing in that jewel there. I don't know if it was always slimy though. So you think that this water represents the orange ray? Isn't woods representing the orange ray? You know, how we always say "dark woods of the self"? I thought that it was the woods that represented it. I'm not sure what the water represents though... We have been going through this dream several times, and to be honest, I still don't feel like there is any satisfactory interpretation of it. I understand the first part, but not the second, when you came out of the woods on my left side as that woman, or the significance of the jewel I was holding in my right hand... RE: The mysterious nature of time - Meerie - 03-21-2013 Water usually represents emotions, the jewel could be the gift you threw at him, to help him examine his emotions re this shadow self. Dreams are very personal items, which carry immense meaning and value for the dreamer. Thank you deeply for sharing your personal story, with little hesitation. Thanks to you, also, Aaron! OK, coming to your dream and to your interpretation, Ankh -- I think you alluded to elements of the following quote from the LOO. Quote:99.8 Questioner: Thank you. In Card Number Six I see the Transformation of the Mind, the male with crossed arms, representing transformation. The transformation is possible either toward the left or the right-hand path. The path is beckoned or led by the female, the Potentiator. The one on the right has the serpent of wisdom at the brow and is fully clothed, the one on the left having less clothing and indicating that the Potentiator is more concerned or attracted to the physical as the left-hand path is chosen and more concerned and attracted to the mental as the right-hand path is chosen. Like the archetypes, I think that dreams too will only haunt or provide subtle hints, rather than explicitly explicate, like Ra mentioned. If that is the case for the dreamer, then you can imagine how pointless it is for an external observer to try interpreting or offering insights. However, it is a temptation to do so. From your dream and statements, the following items stood out for me -- 1. Your mate was initially sick and you tended for him. 2. The setting was the night and it was wintry, which probably forebodes a melancholic matrix, or a mood of the melody of darkness [inspired from this extract from the LOO, 80.10 -- "By far, the majority of adepts remain groping in the moonlight and, as we have said, this light can deceive as well as uncover hidden mystery. Therefore, the melody, shall we say, of this matrix often seems to be of a negative and evil, as you would call it, nature."] 3. Your mate turned left (probably a reference to the the left hand path or STS mental attitude). 4. You were holding the jewel in your right hand (probably a reference to the right hand path, or a reference to the treasures that are available when one courts the unconscious as if it were a pure virginal entity). 5. After turning left into the woods (unconscious mind?), your mate returned as a naked female. That reminded me of the following quote -- Quote:100.6 Questioner: Thank you. To continue with the tarot, I would like to make the additional observation with respect to Card Number Six that with the male’s arms being crossed, if the female to his right pulls on his left hand it would turn his entire body and the same is true for the female on the left pulling on his right hand from the other side. This is my interpretation of what is meant by the tangle of the arms. The transformation, then, occurs by the pull which tends to turn the entity toward the left or the right-hand path. Would Ra comment on that observation? In the above image, is not the female on the left depicted as wearing a transparent upper vestment, revealing her breasts and torso to the eye, i.e., naked? 6. After the return of your mate, as a female, you were wary that she might pollute you with the slime with which she was tainted. Very curiously, the naked female was all over you, like you have pointed out. OK, all the above makes for very rich visual and archetypal imagery, especially coming from an unconscious (and even conscious) mind like yours, which is filled with the LOO. For me, the dream is more like a subtle warning to your mate. You probably have deep gifts of spiritual lessons and intuitive emotional insights (right hand jewel?) to offer to your mate in this incarnation, which he might lose if his attitude of coming closer to you is dictated, more often, by the desirability or beauty of your body, alone. It may probably be an allusion that if that is more often the attitude, then you may try to hide the jewel (throwing it in the lake?). Ironically, once you threw the jewel into the lake, your mate immediately pursued behind it. In other words, your true beauty rises from your inherent invisible spiritual composition, unconscious psychic strengths and preternatural insights, which is what gives you your outer physical allure, perhaps. Thus, your mate focusing more on your outer desirability may diminish the very thing that makes you beautiful, for him. It may be a reference or hint that the time has come in your relationship, wherein lower chakra based sexual attraction or love is no longer the glue; but combined activation of the higher chakra work in a disciplined manner on a lasting basis, is key to unfolding the personal callings of each on this planet. In other words, it reminds me of this -- Quote:71.17 Questioner: The change in consciousness should result in a greater distortion towards service to others, towards unity with all, and towards knowing in order to serve. Is this correct, and are there any other desired results? From the latter statements of your post, I have the feeling that you both are probably higher density entities, who have come back in a 3D setting to offer some powerful service, in terms of having a mission on an individual and collective basis. In that sense, this quote is in proper order, I think -- Quote:84.22 Questioner: Did most Logoi plan, before the veil, to create a system of random sexual activity or the specific pairing of entities for specific periods of time, or did they have an objective in this respect? I think the dream is a nudge towards the bias of building the relationship on more solid ground, rather than simple and superficial sensory inputs. Like the joint relationship and stay together of Don, Carla and Jim, helped in channeling of the LOO, probably, your joint and disciplined stay together may unravel a greater product for the benefit of you and for others, which is right now yet not manifest. Only time will tell! I hope I made some sense. All I said is only my personal and very subjective pronouncements. Whatever it may be, you two are highly mature spiritual exponents, with a strong grasp of the LOO, i.e., in a sense, probably spiritual adepts. Thus, whatever I may have written here may be completely redundant. Your powerful wills and its free nature will guide you, I believe. All the best!
RE: The mysterious nature of time - Ruth - 03-21-2013 I find it a very beautiful thing that Ankh's shared dream and Aaron's comments have inspired our dear Confused to give such a rich and detailed interpretation with lessons from the LOO. Ankh - thank you for sharing so openly. I wonder how you were feeling during this portion of the dream: " . . . " Not just what you were thinking, "I didn't want him to touch me." But how you felt about it? Afraid? Repulsed? I'm just curious. I usually find that if I examine the feelings elicited by my dreams I understand them better. Again, thank you everyone. BIG GROUP HUG! RE: The mysterious nature of time - Ankh - 03-21-2013 Confused, thank you, my brother, for your reply! You gave me a lot to think about and a desire to study the Archetype Six again! It's been a while since I looked into that Archetype, and now I saw couple of things that went unnoticed by me last time. For instance, the male, Ra said, "will turn itself one way or the other or, potentially, backwards and forwards, rocking first one way then the other and not achieving the transformation. In order for the Transformation of Mind to occur, one principle governing the use of the deep mind must be abandoned." So it will take couple (or MANY ) attempts for the Transformation to occur, of choosing one principle of how to use the deep mind, abandoning the other. I wouldn't say that I have already had this Transformation, but I sure *desire* to use this portion of the mind in a positive way. In another dream, which I have had recently, the unconscious portion of the mind let me know that "she" appreciates the efforts of the conscious portion of the mind when courting her, although, she let me know, these portions do have a tendency to "over-court" her. (So still a little bit clumspy I guess )Another thing that went unnoticed by me last time I was looking into this Archetype, is that the attitude of the conscious portion of the mind does not only circle around its own recources but also *recources of other selves*. Thank you, brother! I knew that he/she will go directly after that jewel, leaving me alone, and that it will take him time to find that jewel there. When I woke up, and still now, I kind of blame myself for doing it. I wonder why didn't I just handle this jewel to him, i.e. being of service? Why haven't I tried to serve him in any way when he was transformed into that entity? This tells a bit about me. I wasn't afraid of him, but I wanted to get rid off him as soon as possible, and there was no desire to be of service to this entity. ![]() Thank you, Ruth! You also gave me a lot to think about!
