Who likes spicy? - AnthroHeart - 05-16-2015 I love Tabasco Sauce. I've recently also tried Sriracha which was ok. But I love the vinegary taste of Tabasco. I've tried Habanero sauce before and could take hotter than that. I have Dave's Insanity Sauce which is really thick and a bit too hot to eat by itself. But if I had to I could take hotter. Who else likes hot pepper sauces? RE: Who like spicy? - Lighthead - 05-16-2015 We talked about this privately, but to be honest, I'm not that crazy about Tabasco sauce or vinegary hot sauces. I feel like the vinegar overpowers the heat. For example, if you use Tabasco sauce and you want to make it really hot, you run the risk of ruining the food because of the vinegar. That's just what I feel. RE: Who like spicy? - AnthroHeart - 05-16-2015 Sea Salt and Vinegar chips are my favorite. RE: Who like spicy? - Matt1 - 05-17-2015 i enjoy spicy food. Can't beat a good curry. RE: Who likes spicy? - AnthroHeart - 05-17-2015 Sriracha is great because it's thick, and is good on almost everything. Even mac n cheese. Tabasco is pretty watery in consistency. They are both vinegary, but Sriracha has a sweet garlic flavor too. And they're not too hot. I love Sriracha, but I've only used it for certain types of food. Like for example, Vietnamese. RE: Who likes spicy? - AnthroHeart - 05-17-2015 Do you like the sinus heat of Wasabi, LH? RE: Who likes spicy? - tsh - 05-17-2015 I always crave for spicy food. hot curry works for me RE: Who likes spicy? - Lighthead - 05-17-2015 (05-17-2015, 11:42 AM)Gemini Wolf Wrote: Do you like the sinus heat of Wasabi, LH? I actually really do. But sometimes it gets too intense to stand. Lol. I love it with sushi. But now that I'm trying to go vegan, I don't know if I can have certain kinds of sushi. RE: Who likes spicy? - AnthroHeart - 05-17-2015 I always get the imitation sushi, never the real thing. RE: Who likes spicy? - AnthroHeart - 05-17-2015 Kimchi (spicy cabbage) is also really good. RE: Who likes spicy? - Lighthead - 05-17-2015 (05-17-2015, 11:48 AM)Gemini Wolf Wrote: Kimchi (spicy cabbage) is also really good. I like Kimchi, but to me it tastes almost too ethnic. It tastes like what I would imagine spray paint would taste like. I like all kinds of cuisines, but, for me, Korean is probably my least favorite. Korean food doesn't have the elegance of, say, Japanese for me. RE: Who likes spicy? - AnthroHeart - 05-17-2015 I don't like the food to be too warm right off the stove if it's spicy. It burns twice as much. I prefer it to be cooled. I haven't had rum in a long time, so I wouldn't know if that's true to me. If I remember right, the last time I probably had rum was mixed with something else. Does a Long Island Iced Tea have rum? If it does, then it wasn't that long ago. RE: Who likes spicy? - AnthroHeart - 05-17-2015 I guess that depends on the recipe. RE: Who likes spicy? - Lighthead - 05-17-2015 (05-17-2015, 12:18 PM)Gemini Wolf Wrote: I guess that depends on the recipe. It does have rum according to Wikipedia. Light rum. But it's mixed with other spirits to the point where it's hard to identify the rum. And once again, I am going far off-topic. RE: Who likes spicy? - native - 05-17-2015 Try Tabasco's chipotle flavor..so good! RE: Who likes spicy? - AnthroHeart - 05-17-2015 I just bought a big bottle of Tabasco that I have to get through. I will try the chipotle later. They also have a habanero flavor. There's a green one that they have (Tabasco) that's really good on fried tilapia. It has a lemony taste. I think that it might be the Jalapeno one, but I'm not 100% sure. I just know that it's green. RE: Who likes spicy? - AnthroHeart - 05-17-2015 I like tabasco but I don't like jalapenos. Go figure. I also HATE avacado and gaucamole. I'm not too crazy about avocados just by themselves. It just has a flat, dull flavor to me. But I love guacamole. RE: Who likes spicy? - AnthroHeart - 05-17-2015 I am slightly allergic to avacado. It tingles my tongue. RE: Who likes spicy? - AnthroHeart - 05-17-2015 Here's a crazy person who snorts wasabi. You really do have to be crazy. RE: Who likes spicy? - AnthroHeart - 05-17-2015 There are tons of snorting hot sauce videos on YouTube as well. I don't doubt that they are entertaining, but I don't want to spend too much time looking at that. If it's right there in front of me, then I'll watch it. But I just don't want to take the time to seek it out. RE: Who likes spicy? - AnthroHeart - 05-17-2015 It's like the Salvia videos where someone smokes Salvia and freaks out. I don't go searching for those, but when I find them they are funny.
