Full Halo CME Now - Berilac Sandydowns - 06-22-2015 The Sun is pretty active. http://spaceweather.com/ K Index up. Interplanetary magnetic field. Solar wind speed and proton count. Kent Steadman / Cyberspaceorbit had a theory about recieving downloads of information from Sol. Just a heads up in case anyone feels a little odd or anything. I think I'll get still for a bit. RE: Full Halo CME Now - Spaced - 06-22-2015 Helluva solstice ![]() RE: Full Halo CME Now - Parsons - 06-22-2015 Yeah, CME just hit us. Only a G1 geomagnetic storm so far. There are two more less intense CME's on the way that may have the effect of clearing a path to Earth which could cause a fairly intense storm in the coming hours but it's hard to tell at this point. Keep updated at http://spaceweather.com/ or http://www.swpc.noaa.gov/ Edit: Storm went from G1 to G4 (on a scale of up to G5) in just a few minutes! 2nd Edit: Wow! The same sunspot just spit out a 4th CME at M6.5 (moderatly strong). It is directly facing Earth which means the CME will likely hit us. Because the other 3 CME's have cleared a path for it, it will probably cause a very intense geomagnetic storm... Hold on to your hats!
