why i am a blutwurstian - Bluebell - 07-09-2015

i have chronic anemia. taking iron isn't enough. i always crave blood and liver, especially around menstruation. blood sausage and other blood foods are very nutritious and yummy. many cultures have put their own spin on it.

it's interesting i've always related to vampires. maybe it was this subconscious need for blood/iron/elixir of life.

it's high in iron and selenium.

Quote:Information About Selenium

Selenium is a mineral that works as an antioxidant in the body. It can help to keep tissues healthy by preventing cell damage.
Selenium helps keep your immune system and thyroid working well.
Selenium may help protect against the development of some types of cancers and certain chronic diseases but this is still being studied.

interesting; so eternal life of vampires might be due to selenium.

i request there be no vegetarian attempts here to judge or debate meat eating. this is a thread about all things blood in its edible forms and their benefits. thank u.

Don't watch if you are squeamish.

Blutwurstafarians lol. I wish you had posted the picture you drew in chat

When people experience lethargy, lack of motivation, sadness, or anxiety they often think it's a mental health issue but you got to make sure it's not a nutritional or physical issue first... I'm so glad you feel better.

Did you experience changes in root chakra when you started to incorporate animal protein? My friend who was in a similar situation as you said she felt something like a zombie. After incorporating meat she felt more like a normal human w/ less blocked root chakra.

yeah it was absolutely horrible. it was like i was energetically paralyzed from the waist down. and i was so disconnected from my physical body. i should have been in a hospital or something. eating meat connected me back to that primal part. i'm still very weak in red but meat definitely helps. besides the b12 there's this very 2d primal grounding like becoming one with nature haha. grounding is so important for us aliens. i easily forget and it's a constant struggle.

i have went back to eating meats after a couple of years of being veggie give or take. I feel a bit more grounded because of it.

I was chronically anemic too Bluebell.  My doctor prescribed an iron supplement that had animal liver in it.  I thought it was a little weird, but it definitely helped bring up my iron levels.

I did crave steak from the time I was a child as I wrote about before, but not in recent years.

However, my blood is still not quite normal, though RBC's are finally in a normal range.  The animal products are supportive and more easily assimilated when there are gut issues, which I had but didn't know was a problem when I was younger.  The iron from animal foods is heme-iron and is easier for the human body to utilize in that form.

It definitely works. There are plant-based formulas that also work. Some are even clinically proven to work just as well, if not better than, animal-based iron supplements.

I learned that from Google. Wink

Two distinct tangents were split off into their own threads:

[split] "Some people eat animals, some don't."

[split] Obtaining Animal Blood

i didn't know that! iron supplements never seem to do much for me. i have gut issues too. i feel like maybe i don't digest supplements well.
