Awake in the Dream - AnthroHeart - 08-13-2015 I'm watching the Awake in the Dream DVD. It says the #1 cause of suffering is identification with the body. Saying "I am my body". Say "I am not a body. I am free." #2 cause of suffering is identification with the mind, and resisting what is. Choose acceptance rather than rejecting and judging. Gratitude for what is helps to eliminate desire. Without desire there is peace. Also the importance of forgiveness, which is being responsible for your own life. "You are not the thinker." "The space of no mind is pure consciousness." "Who is this I?" Take your attention to the I itself. "When you are aware, even going to the grocery store is like a sacred pilgrimage." "The illusion is separation [from God]" "I am consciousness." "You are here to enable the divine purpose of the universe to unfold. That is how important you are!" (Eckhart Tolle) "The brain is not the source of information. The invisible field is the source." RE: Awake in the Dream - anagogy - 08-13-2015 Identification is the reason you have the perception of being a part, rather than the whole enchilada. But the human body is, by design, made to make you feel like you are "in" a body. But its more like: you are somewhere else and you are watching the feed from a camera. The perspective being offered you by the body makes for a convincing illusion that you are "in a body". But in reality, consciousness is everywhere. And "inside" and "outside" are just concepts floating in a sea of Beingness. RE: Awake in the Dream - Raz - 08-13-2015 2 cent; Holding on to a sense of "static" identification is a little like having training wheels on a bike, it can help give a sense of balance while learning the ropes, but after a point it just hinders the sense of flexibility. In essence, we are all very very flexible... Just don“t fall in to the trap of trading the training wheels of defined identification with wheels of defined as undefined. If you are holding on to an explanation as truth of self you are living in tunnel vision mode and wont be totally in touch with the multidimensional flexibility. This can be confusing if we try to understand just by comparing. to assume we are primarily human is a form of escapism. It was expected to happen and there is nothing wrong with it, but sooner or later the true sense of self/reality will start to beckon... "we all shine meaning like the sun

RE: Awake in the Dream - AnthroHeart - 08-13-2015 Let's see if I can get this story straight. As it's from memory and I don't remember if it was on this film or not. A zen monk asked his master how to be like him. The master responded "When I sit, I sit. When I eat, I eat." The monk responded "But I do that already" The master responded "No, when you sit, you think about standing up. When you eat, you think about something else." |
