Dream work - Jade - 02-09-2016 "Dream work" is one of those phrases that probably carries a lot of connotation to each of us. I think the most common reference to dream work is the 'work' on does one dream recall, so that they can interpret the symbolism through their wakening lens and hopefully receive resonant messages. One example of this is how plenum says in studying the archetypes, he had nightly dreams where they danced before him. Another example of this is when we have dreams of "school", or particularly, "graduation" - a signifier into a new stage of being. Or, one could have a close encounter with an animal totem that encourages a line of action. There are other more subtle ways that we do dream work. One is less logical than symbolic interpretation: this would be the emotive resonance of dreams and their overlap with our waking state. I'm sure no one is here exempt from an experience where they wake up feeling emotionally changed in an intense way from a dream, reality even seems to look different. This happens on a nightly basis, and can happen more often the more freely you allow dream recall to be experienced. Personally I've been experiencing this a lot lately - I remember snippets of my dreams throughout the day, they hit me like a ton of bricks and instantly transport me "back" to a moment in the dream reality (this happens a lot when I'm driving). This definitely shifts me into a different emotional state, and then just as quickly I switch back. However, the work is done: The two layers have merged and therefore altered each other in whatever way was desirable. Dreams can also be precognitive, and actually are almost always unconsciously so. Every night when we go to sleep, we abandon the confines of the human brain and experience a freer relativity in time/space, where we can view probabilities and even act them out to their conclusion. This can be extremely beneficial if you are having any sort of "problem", be it with another person or in general how happy you are with manifestations. What we create is tied to our emotions. In our dream state, what we create is more flexible, and we can say, take a fight with someone and experience every ugly facet, and then every healing facet, merely in the dream state. When you wake up, the emotions of resolution linger - even though you have not actually finished talking the situation out with the person you are quarreling with, on another level it has already been resolved, so that if/when any sort of confrontation happens, the emotional intensity will be lessened. I do not believe that this requires much if any recall to work. I think this is a big way in that dreams can help us deal with our mundane problems better. It takes just the most minor amount of suggestion, really - a request to the Higher self for information that will help solve an 'issue'. Likely, this 'information' will not present a logical solution, but instead be affected by much more nebulous things like the emotions we carry over from our dreams. Here is what Ra describes as the types of work that can be done in dreaming: Quote:86.7 Questioner: You stated that dreaming, if made available to the conscious mind, will aid greatly in polarization. Would you define dreaming or tell us what it is and how it aids in polarization? Our higher self (and others) are there to help us every single night. I encourage everyone to try to remember to request this assistance before falling asleep. RE: Dream work - Night Owl - 02-09-2016 Thanks for sharing, really interesting. Am gonna use my dreams in a more conscient way and try to experiment with them more. RE: Dream work - Ankh - 02-09-2016 Awesome post, Jade! I also wanted to mention that some dreams show us that we are going through initiation/purification/transformation, which might be important in our understanding of ourselves. In my experience it's not just one initiation or purification or transformation that one is going through, but many, many of them. But some are more awesome than others. I used to have so awesome dreams in the past, but not so much lately. I want to have them back, but then came to think about Don when he asked Ra about his experience he once had in one meditation, and to which Ra answered something like that it was an initiation, and to try to re-experience that is to go back in evolutional process. Anyways, what I wanted to mention is that in some cases dreams show you the process of initiation, purification and transformation, and these dreams are awesome! Enjoy them while the feeling of these dreams last! ![]() |
