Tarot - Observer - 07-12-2016 Recently been getting into tarot, but not just for divination. I have been using the images on the cards to help manifest a more abundant reality for myself by focusing my intention and gazing upon the cards image to bring each cards characteristics into my life. Who else uses tarot for conventional and non conventional uses? whats your favorite card? RE: Tarot - Reaper - 07-13-2016 I've found that there aren't many systems that can't be correlated to the archetypes if you try hard enough. They can be used as an organizational mechanism for an endless variety of concepts. I'm currently doing a series of portraits as part of art therapy, tracing the process of trauma and healing, using the archetypes as representations of different conscious and unconscious states as the mind executes said process. With enough knowledge any situation at all can be framed against the appropriate archetype. It's like comparing a fabrication to its template- it accelerates the ability to detect and correct slight imbalances that would otherwise possibly go unnoticed. Then there is the actual invocation of the archetypes, which I would say falls into the category of adept magical work. It's a technique I'm just beginning to experiment with; instead of framing the situation one frames their own consciousness and the balancing takes place automatically, similar to the crystal healing techniques described in the LOO but done through an entirely internal means. |
