A return, a belief, an analogy, an apology, and two questions - Questioner - 07-15-2010 Hello again! I've just come through an exceptionally chaotic time, even for my life. I'll tell about it soon. It seems to me that I now have enough stability to enjoy this forum again on a regular basis. My goals now: to at least say hi every day, unless I'm very busy or very sick; to participate in at least some in-depth conversations every week, unless I have a week of technical problems; and to be quite active, as much as I can. I continue to believe in the Law of One's concept of this life as home of The Choice between two contrasting options. To make a deep commitment to a heart of service to others, or to deny a heart of love and compassion. The care about others and look to lift them up by serving them, or to try to manipulate the rest of creation into serving one's self. In this life we don't reach perfection in polarization, but if we take advantage of this opportunity, this life is where we decide, not just in one moment but in our ongoing attitude each moment, which direction we commit to explore. I would like to share my latest way of thinking about this, and about how it relates to me. I have two new essays to share in the Law of One section. The first is the Loyal Opposition analogy, which we may have discussed before. The second is about my path to freedom from the crushing burden of shame. It feels to me that this is Law of One related but if mods wants to slide it over to Life on Earth that's OK with me. As I wrapped things up for my hiatus, I dumped some negativity that came out from my struggles with shame. That negativity may have caused confusion, consternation or upset feelings. I want to apologize if that's the case. I'd welcome any comments about how I can best of service to this wonderful community of faith. Are there particular topics that are most useful for me to explore, or should I simply continue to post and reply to whatever catches my interest? And my other question is simply: what did I miss? Any especially great conversations I should jump into first? ![]() RE: A return, a belief, an analogy, an apology, and two questions - fairyfarmgirl - 07-15-2010 Thank you for being here now, Questioner!
