Are we supposed to be helping ourselves or helping the world? - AnthroHeart - 02-15-2017 I spend a lot of my time in contemplation, sometimes meditation. I wonder about sending love out into the world. Or visualizing that I am giving the whole world a hug and feeling warm fuzzies. Are we here to just raise the vibration of the Earth to help it ascend into 4D? Or are we here to mainly work on ourselves, work through our catalyst, and our karma, and raise our own vibration? I know both is an easy answer, but what's a good way to spend a lot of time if we don't work and we don't really want to go out? I don't do too well in crowds. I'm not horrible, but I prefer being alone. Or maybe with one friend which has been awhile. RE: Are we supposed to be helping ourselves or helping the world? - Coordinate_Apotheosis - 02-15-2017 Both-- oh, you already know that hah You could try just increasing the time you spend meditating, or being a bit spontaneous and starting little hobbies or projects to help express yourself or learn more about yourself to better do both things like raise Earth's vibration or your own, or work on catalyst, karma, and the self. I wish I didn't need to work, I hate it so much...I just want to sleep and meditate, video game's aren't even fun to me anymore, I'd rather read the Kybalion, or the Ra Material, or look up philosophical ideas, or theological ideas, or research gnosticism's symbolism, or research magic further. :-/ Can I have your schizophrenia so I don't need to work??? I didn't know it at the time though. I'm fortunate that my work gave me 2 years of disability. It's going to be another 8 months to a year or two before I get permanent disability. RE: Are we supposed to be helping ourselves or helping the world? - Nau7ik - 02-16-2017 It's both, Indigo. As you help yourself, you help the world. All is one. But it's not very obvious that we are affecting change in the world and the planetary consciousness by the inner work we do on ourselves. We can invoke faith that all is well and as it should be. That we are on track with our processes, our service, path, etc. What is there to do when you have unlimited free time? Go with the flow! Create a routine in which you can structure the day. Set aside a specific time to pray and meditate, to do spiritual work, and then you can read and study during the rest of the day. Give yourself time to study but also some time to take it easy. Take a nap, go outside in nature, play with your dogs or cats, watch some videos. Anything can be used as catalyst. If you're being mindful there are lessons and spiritual principles to contemplate in everything. You're a good person Indigo! Don't be hard on yourself. You're doing what you should be doing and you're at where you need to be. All is well! We are far greater than our minds and bodies. The human experience is a short term service and before we know it we'll be looking back in review of our incarnation in the freedom of spirit. So let's make the best and most out of the time we have left here. ![]() RE: Are we supposed to be helping ourselves or helping the world? - AnthroHeart - 02-16-2017 I guess it's ok to think about going home with fondness and a warmth in our heart. But shouldn't we more be thinking about our life here and now, and trying to be human instead of trying to "escape"? RE: Are we supposed to be helping ourselves or helping the world? - anagogy - 02-16-2017 A flower provides value to others just by being what it most naturally is. It doesn't have to try to provide that value, it simply has to exist in its joyously best and most authentic self, and its natural unique variety adds to the beauty of creation. Just be yourself, whatever that self is. There is no "shoulds" or "shouldnt's" in the one creation -- that is just propaganda from people with an agenda. Too many people try to be something they aren't in a vain attempt to live up to some idea of they are "supposed" to be. In my opinion, that severely inhibits evolution because it isn't authentic. Simply be what you are, and the experiences that naturally result from that will act as the catalyzing lessons that will evolve your consciousness (every state of evolution is perfect). That equals the honest utilization of experience. To not do that merely dims your energy centers because it would amount to a form of repression of that self which is perfect in the creators eyes. My suggestion is they are intertwined, and that you serving the world is fully apart of helping yourself, and vice versa. As you clear your energy centers, and work through your baggage/karma you fill the world with light. You will transmute the world into lighter energy. The paradox recognized upon either path is the oness encompassing and being all things. So on either path you will find the nature of one being a direct paradox in many instances. "When we live our life contrary to the inner guidance of our Soul, our actions often have a disharmonious effect upon ourselves, others and the Earth. This is why the evolution of individual human consciousness is intimately linked with the future of this planet. In light of this, the crisis of all physical illness, emotional imbalance and planetary upheaval has but one ultimate purpose: to provide an opportunity that will motivate us to realign our body, mind and emotions with the infinite love, wisdom and healing of our Soul. Therefore, whenever we gather the courage to do whatever it takes to end the war within, we contribute directly and immediately to our own healing and transformation as well as to the peace that our world cries out for." |
