Eisenstein Primes - Smocur - 11-27-2021 I inadvertently came across this subject when someone was asking why they always see the numbers 137 and 317. A quick google search later and I realised both of them were Eisenstein Primes. Although I have absolutely zero idea what any of this stuff actually means, I just thought y’all might appreciate the geometry like I do. Some of the images remind me of the E8 Lie group and I feel like there may be a connection. https://people.math.harvard.edu/~knill/primes/eisenstein/eisenstein3.png https://people.math.harvard.edu/~knill/primes/gallery.html Feel free to comment any numbers that you’re constantly seeing. (Bonus points if they’re not 911 and 1111) RE: Eisenstein Primes - Smocur - 01-17-2022 This guys research seems to have found a connection between twin primes and the e8 lie group, maybe someone smarter than me can do something useful with this. https://www.primesdemystified.com/ |
