Book III: Selected Essays 2001 - 2010 - Steppingfeet - 03-21-2011 Dear forums, As of March 21, 2011, I am working my way through the PDF version of Scott Mandelker’s new title, Book III: Selected Essays 2001 – 2010. (So titled because it is his third book, naturally.) As a student of the Law of One material, I am loving this book! Dr. Mandelker writes in a manner that condenses a lot into a little, distilling from a quandary of perception the essential teachings of consciousness evolution. His thought processes forever married to the Law of One material, he expounds upon and illuminates the subtleties of service and seeking in a way that is clear, penetrating, and refreshing. This work is a true gem of spiritual exploration. I find great balance in his writing, exhibiting the kindness and empathy of compassion in conjunction with the clarified communication of wisdom, blending both together for a powerful presentation of the sacred and the simple. The Japanese-language edition of this book has been purchased by a Japanese publisher and will be published and distributed in that country sometime next year, I believe. (He does a large portion of his work in Japan and southeast Asia.) The PDF book already being available for free on his website, I asked him if I could share the file with the Bring4th forums. He was more than happy to endorse its free distribution and hopes that those who resonate with it may find it a helpful resource on the spiritual journey. So without further ado, you can click here to download a copy of Book III: Selected Essays 2001 – 2010 by Dr. Scott Mandelker. ![]() In oneness, GLB PS: Dr. Mandelker’s Universal Vision, along with Carla Rueckert’s A Wanderer's Handbook, were the two books most instrumental in helping me to comprehend and synthesize the cosmology – its meaning, significance, and application to the daily life – presented by those of Ra. A variety of other titles have also helped me to deepen my understanding of the nature of the mystical path, but it was these two which “translated”, as it were, Ra in a way that made the murky picture come into view with stunning clarity and beatific vision. RE: Book III: Selected Essays 2001 - 2010 - Shemaya - 03-22-2011 Thank you for posting this Gary...this is very helpful for me, someone who is easily lost on Ra's prose. Scott Mandelker's commentary is very clarifying. I really like the explanations that he puts into brackets in the passages. Lots of lightbulbs going on! There are dry parts that I kind of skipped over. His philosophy on how karma is required for our spiritual evolution was insightful. I've had thoughts before of what it might be like to eliminate all karma, esentially brining it to stillness for a moment. But I see that karma has its place. I'm not sure about whether guardians are in charge of dishing out both good and bad karma. It seems like it would be more automatic based on our thoughts and actions. In all, my life has been very good. But perhaps I have a little more control over my own karma than many others. I am somewhat skilled at stilling distortions. |
