MIRAGE - Buildings and mountains appear in China - Eddie - 06-26-2011
I'm wondering if this is indeed a mirage, or something else....another reality bleeding over into ours?

I don't think this is real. Look at the people walking, and the person on the bike, on the bridge. If a city suddenly appeared in the mist, they'd all be gawking. But they're not. They're just going about their day.

It's very easy to skew news reports and interviews which are in other languages, and fake news reports can spread fast online.
I have to agree with Monica, based on that video I would say it was fake. People wouldn't be walking calmly by; they would be sitting there with their jaws on the ground going nuts over what they were seeing.

you can't expect people to react like you would react. many people in today's world don't react to much. then again i dunno how to explain that. what would cause it?

Yeah, the reaction is predictable. Surprise, shock, disbelief, excited chatter...that's just basic human reaction.

All of the buildings and trees they show supposedly aren't supposed to be there.

I can't imagine anyone walking down a familiar street and seeing an entire city where there wasn't one before just mozying along, going "oh...yeah...magical city appearing out of nowhere...*yaaawwn*." This would draw crowds.

If you read the comments, people seem to translate the report as saying that because of the fog, it looks like the city is floating...and nothing to do with the city suddenly appearing.

umm, the bridge indicates the city is floating in a river. anyway i think people are so cynical today they'd just walk past. especially might be true in a different culture.

Well just look at the news coverage of any major event, and see how the people react. Like when the planes hit the towers on 911 for example. The people didn't just keep walking. They freaked out.
Or for a less violent example, check out the footage of UFO sightings. People are saying "OH MY GOD" and "HOLY CRAP!" and all sorts of profanity and stuff like that.

that's different, immediate threat is noticed. a placid city not. i watched the planes hit the towers on TV and felt nothing, it didn't even register right away what had happened. also, when i called my mom about it she didn't get it right away either, cuz she was distracted and i was like but mom listen! and she was like yeah ok i gotta go, and then she only later like "got it". as for UFO sightings yeah people can say wow what is that but then they remember they gotta go to the dentist or their favorite show is on or something else in Real Life they gotta do and they go on their merry way. or maybe i'm just so dulled down but that's how i'd prolly react. :/

When the earthquake in Japan occurred, I recall a man very sincerely saying he was uninterested in tuning in and decided that he had seen worse events in movies that appeared equally as real.
But if there is a skyscraper appearing in my neighborhood...

Gosh, if you think people won't even bother to look when an entire city suddenly pops up on the horizon, then, well, I don't have anything to add. I could get into the psychology of it but it's not really worth spending time on (in my opinion), as there are more important topics I'd rather discuss. So I'll just agree to disagree here.

The news said the mirage has happened quite a few times in the area lately (although not to such an extent), guess that's why people are not particularly interested.
