HOME - ayadew - 06-08-2009 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jqxENMKaeCU This movie was a great catalyst for me... really opened my eyes to the massive consumption of society, and the beauty of nature - which I have not seen much of. It has a vibration I believe many needs to experience. It has such beautiful comparasions. After outlining the epitome of human genius, Dubai, it shows a simple whale in the water. And I am more amazed by this whale than all of Dubai. Please do not blame people, in their endless love for eachother and discoveries, to have multiplied and made so many mistakes in the process (in the eyes of nature) that has led to the current state of things. We are all connected and responsible for eachother.. instead, I say, try to spread a message of closeness and responsibility for nature. It is our home, after all RE: HOME - Sirius - 08-07-2009 Amazing ![]() It does get you thinking, but it also leaves no room for the theory the Earth is heating of it's own accord. This is how I viewed it. I think however this can be justified with a quote from the film. We shape the Earth in our image. It could easily be the self destructive nature of humans being played out for us by Gaia. The pictures of nature in this film are astounding within themselves. Great find. RE: HOME - C-JEAN - 08-08-2009 Hi, Gaia lovers ! That film is *** fantastic *** ! It is NOT "fear mongering" crap, but it shows how we, the rich countries, are soooooo egocentric ! ! ! 20% of the humans use 80% of earth resources ! ! It is TOTALY SHAMEFUL ! ! Soooooo, good viewing, IT IS WORTH IT ! ! The film is 1:33:18 long. Blue skies. RE: HOME - Sirius - 08-08-2009 The mention of methane underneath siberia just made me think about moocow farts. Even though this film presents so many things, I still beleive global warming has something to do with the coming harvest. Venus once supported life, and now it is a fireball of sorts? maybe it just means that 3D earth is really coming to en end, we're lucky to have warning. RE: HOME - Monica - 08-08-2009 This is an awesome film! I have passed it on to many! It does a great job of getting the magnitude of the situation across, but then, at the end, does a total about-face and switches to being oh-so-positive! I totally did not expect that at the end! I got all teary-eyed!! ...to see what others are already doing...solar-powered cities! wind-powered communities! Wow! There are already so many people doing wonderful things...there's no time left to be a pessimist...no time left to think "What can I do?" because all we have to do is join forces with those who are already taking action! We don't have to feel that just one person can't do anything...this movie shows that just one person CAN make a huge difference! And together we can move mountains! The movie does talk about the obvious fact that so much of the environmental problems could be alleviated or at least slowed down if we just quit feeding our grains to cows. It's so much more efficient to eat the grains themselves. My only complaint about the movie is that it didn't emphasis this enough. I truly believe that becoming vegetarian is the single most impactful act any of us could make on the environment...that should have been emphasized more. But I guess they didn't want to get labeled a 'vegetarian' movie. We know they live on the Sun! What we perceive as 'heat' is just love that we aren't attuned to yet...if our vibration isn't high enough, we perceive love as heat...I heard that from some other channel and my interpretation of Ra's words supports that idea. RE: HOME - Lorna - 08-08-2009 i absolutely adore yann arthus-bertrand's work, what beautiful images, seeing the world through his eyes is so magical i've only watched the first half hour or so but i'll try and watch it all the way through over the next week thank you for sharing - i hadn't heard of this film before RE: HOME - Sirius - 08-08-2009 It makes sence, but then would our raising of vibrational love not warm up the earth? haha Making Gaia feel warm and tingelly hahahaha. I've been energy concious not to save the planet, but to simply not waste. Not take more than I need so to speak. The film does make you realse how only one person can make a difference, and also how selfish we can be as individuals when putting everything on a global stage. RE: HOME - ayadew - 08-09-2009 It makes me happy you appreciate it Service to the planet is a great STO action I'd say. ![]() |
