Thanks, it's one of those where I wondered if I would've found it had you not posted the link.
It's cool that they've isolated a protocol that easily produces consistent results.
Having said that, I did chuckle a few times at some of the conclusions in the OOBE-extraterrestrials article.

Well, are they actually conclusions?...or just long held personal beliefs wrapped up in a semi-mystical paper on ET contact. There is no doubt these guys are beating their own drum...but hey, take what resonates and leave the rest behind.

I do too. I was being literal. Odd conclusions sounds found to critique.
I'll say that it is already my notion that the descriptions of OBEs, abductions, NDEs are so similar that I think it is further representation of the way Mind works. Like adrenaline has noticeable characteristics, marijuana, LSD, salvia, dehydration. We have minds that are very similar in vibrational expression. Does the typical alien OBE mean they are everywhere or should we consider that there is a like expression in the Mind complex we have?

You touched on an inmportant point, and actually, on their website, it's all referred to as 'phase'. It seems as you say that, the phenomena are related. The pattern seems to be the vulnerability of the mind.. or the width of the apeture to new experience, the minds disposition to its own content.
As an aside I think the distinctions are important though.
I have a wild speculation here? Does anyone think that the physical brain structure and functions (through brain chemistry and such) is a partial reflection of the mind and its functions with respect to itself and its content. I was watching a TED talk by Vilayanur Ramachandran on the so-called mirror or Ghandi neurons, where these neurons, if you did not have sense-receptors in the skin for instance, would send to the brain that the person is being touched even if they just watch another being touched in that same spot.

You mean like an archaic remnant? Inherent notions in the mind which can't be explained by anything in a person's own life?

Yes. Or an inherent sensation, like a sneeze. Or a reaction, like ears ringing after a loud noise. Things that are shared by all humans.
