The planets have their energetic influences for sure, which means we can use those influences to our advantage Smile.

Did you know that Yogananda talked about raising your vibration so as to not be influenced by the movements of the planets (astrologically speaking)?

This fits with Ra's notion that one's 18 day 'spiritual' cycle becomes negligible when one reaches a certain level of adeptness.

Do you happen to recall in which writing he talked about this? This is all I could find on the topic:

I love the opening discussion on belief. Smile

I've been aware of the astrological cycles for a while now, but I still haven't figured out the trick to remain unaffected. Especially full moons and mercury retrograde, but other things as well, I can feel the tug of those energies at my consciousness...to resist it takes sustained concentration.

It can be very liberating to simply be aware of the ebb and flow of the cycles, and thus not as likely to get caught up in it, but it really takes effort for me. I sure would be interested in any techniques that make it a little easier.

Uggh, sorry for being a "quote bum" tonight... but do you happen to remember the session this was discussed? I only vaguely recall this and it might be more helpful to me now.

Thanks!

Love to all

I believe it was Autobiography of a Yogi Smile
