To think one is alone simply because one has not experienced the presence of others, is self conditioning. To think differently despite the conditioning is what beings one to higher awareness.
It is the enlightened mind that looks into the sky and knows that if they themselves can be here looking out, than the probability that this is also taking place somewhere out there in that vastness is far more likely than the notion that we are alone in this cosmos.
With intelligence comes the need for facts. With wisdom comes acceptance of possibilities.
