there are many Kundalini books out there that advocate the 'raising of the energy' up the spine. And yet, Ra has a different take on this:
This phenomenon has been called by your peoples the kundalini. However, it may better be thought of as the meeting place of cosmic and inner, shall we say, vibratory understanding. To attempt to raise the locus of this meeting without realizing the metaphysical principles of magnetism upon which this depends is to invite great imbalance.
First of all, experiences are 'drawn to oneself' because they catch the attention of the self.
We have two types of energy. We are attempting then, as entities in any true color of this octave, to move the meeting place of inner and outer natures further and further along or upward along the energy centers. The two methods of approaching this with sensible method are first, the seating within one’s self of those experiences which are attracted to the entity through the south pole.
then those experiences have to be processed, analyzed, and expressed to the self in some manner. Experiences are like the raw food for spiritual growth - they enter our space, and have to be chewed on a bit before they can really be digested.
Each experience will need to be observed, experienced, balanced, accepted, and seated within the individual. As the entity grows in self-acceptance and awareness of catalyst the location of the comfortable seating of these experiences will rise to the new true-color entity. The experience, whatever it may be, will be seated in red ray and considered as to its survival content and so forth.
as one incorporates more and more of 'reality' and the experiences that we attract (the ones that enter our field, and prompt mental reactions), our baseline attitude also starts to change. For someone with red-ray kundalini, for example, everything is about survival, it is fight-or-flight, 'I am being threatened', the world is a dangerous place, etc etc. This is the over-riding nature of the bulk of one's mental habits. Everything gets reshaped into this narrative of people are trying to hurt me, I am being attacked, threats are everywhere, I cannot survive. Survival Consciousness. And so on and so on, for kundalini consciousness that is raised to the orange centre, and onwards. It's a process of personal growth, and greater total integration of everything that happens to us, and that is offered to us via experience:
Each experience will be sequentially understood by the growing and seeking mind/body/spirit complex in terms of survival, then in terms of personal identity, then in terms of social relations, then in terms of universal love, then in terms of how the experience may beget free communication, then in terms of how the experience may be linked to universal energies, and finally in terms of the sacramental nature of each experience.
so you can see that spiritual growth and change is not instantaneous. It's not a matter of applying one's Will in one forceful moment, or coming to one singular realization. It proceeds step by step, like a long journey, and we stop and pause to ascertain each experience along the way. And each experience ('food') can be utilised and digested for understandings that raise this locus, or meeting point of seeking consciousness (south pole light), and the downward drawn light of infinitely potentialised consciousness (north pole light).
the cosmic energies that we attract downwards, then become turned to the purposes of where our current state of beingness is. That becomes the narrative of our lives, and the stories and metaphors we share with others.

This is my first time ever posting on a forum. I've lurked here off and on for a few weeks now just browsing through topics and i must say, what a wonderful resource you all are.
If I may share my own perspective, distorted as it is, perhaps I can offer a thought or two...
The Kundalini phenomenon has been a passion of mine for a few years now. I was conceptually introduced to its existance through intuitive assimilation of christian teachings about four years ago. However, my own kundalini experience happened when I received it in August of 2012. Since then, my life and perspective has been one wild ride. The experience and subsequent experiences intensified my search for ultimate truth into literal life or death situations for a couple years and only recently am I finally settling down into a somewhat balanced state.
I was thrilled when I finally came across some of Ra's understanding of the topic and must say, he makes perfect sense. Over the years I am learning that spirituality is not featured through accomplishment but through balance and wisdom. The kundalini was a very dangerous and unpredictable event for me, as it is for most, but I do not regret it in the least. Looking back, there are many things that I would do differently had I known what I know now, but that is part of the journey and no energy is wasted on regret.
Many of the things Ra mentions regarding indigo ray and balance of the chakras were personal discoveries although at the time I had little idea how to properly handle the intensity of experience. Ra is on point regarding how each chakra needs to be balanced and centered, if you will, before that union of poles is progressed toward the next level of light.

My views are that Ra says that an upward flow of prana is met with a down wards flow from the crown chakara, almost like magnets. Rather than the straight upward flow of prana from shakti to shiva or mooladhara to saraswati. The disbalance corrects when people only apply esoteric techniques to increase the flow upwards prana from mooladhara or red ray to sarawati or violet ray without taking any care into the balancing and integration of experience or metaphysical aspects as Ra calls it.

There is a book which sheds some light on this subject entitled, Living with Kundalini. It is about an Indian man who meditated regularly as a matter of course, and one day the kundalini energy was released and traveled up his spine. Once released, it caused him various problems the rest of his life. It seemed very factual and it is fascinating to read the descriptions of his experiences with kundalini.
I lent the book out years ago and it was never returned so I don't know the author. I looked it up on Amazon and I think this is it if anyone's interested:

There's much info floating around in cyberspace about the sacred fire.
In a nutshell, awakening the kundalini too fast can cause psychosis. It was dangerous for me because afterward I made extreme decisions without care for my physical wellbeing. I was not as distressed as most are when they go through the symptoms; since then I have yet to experience more peace, joy, bliss and general feelings of security. However, I did almost starve myself to death searching for answers and more information. I forsook all belongings and turned my life inside out and put myself in situations that were pretty crazy. In the end, I accessed intelligent infinity and will bypass harvest, plus the knowledge gained is priceless. Worth it in my opinion. Insanity and a plethora of psychological issues threaten those who delve into the sacred fire. The results can be either catastrophic or cosmic, depending on how you prepare.
If you are feeling an inner urge toward the kundalini energy, I strongly advise to research the phenomenon and prepare before attempting its activation. Do not regard hype, treat the energy as if it can destroy you, because it must, before you can emerge a Phoenix.

I am curious how people interpret the "how the experience may beget free communication" level. I understand the preceding ones and feel quite at home with the universal love concept, even if it continues to take work and mindfulness - at least I know and understand exactly what I'm supposed to be doing. But the next level up is not so obvious to me.

Basically it is when the energy reaches the point of being as pure an expression of the individual character as possible. Without any regulatory censuring whatsoever. Think of it as the "pure expression level". Or even the "clear understanding level". Two sides of the same coin.

If you look, Ra is describing SEVEN stages here, which I think tie directly to both the general concept of chakras as well as being parallel to density development. So if I'm right about the parallels then this would be the 5th-density processing of the information, or the white-light ray.
So I believe what he's referring to is free communication without distortion, or at least with minimal distortion. More or less, it would answer the question "What truths about the universe or myself does this experience reveal?" By stripping away falsehoods and lower-level distortions, it imparts wisdom to the entity and the ability to more clearly perceive/describe the true nature of things.
Then, having seen those truths, it opens up the path to 6D thought, that of unification, allowing the entity to comprehend how the smaller revealed truths merge with and reinforce the "Big Picture" of spiritual Oneness.

I like this concept of 6D thought. Realizing that whatever I want is just a parallel reality away. Since all is in Infinity.
