Mercury just did a "rare" transit across the sun, while in retrograde. I've had an interesting Mercury retrograde so far, I was wondering if anyone else had any interesting 'events' that happened yesterday?

I bring it up because yesterday morning, I let my sweet Butters outside after Kile left to take Judy on a walk. It was a slightly abnormal routine, I had just woken up - I went and fed the birds, put water in the bird bath, watered our meager garden - then I forget to close the gate when I went inside. :@ Kile returned about 20 minutes later which is when we realized... Butters was gone. Totally gone. The good news is, it was 7:30am so very little traffic, the bad news being that we live on the edge of a 2200+ acre state park. I tried to stay calm while screaming my head off. The thing about pokey little Butters is, that when he's outside and in "sniff mode", he's very tunnel visioned - he's not the type of dog who will come to you while he's off leash outside, not at all. So I'm mainly screaming my head off so that if anyone else finds him before me, they know I'm looking for a dog. (Sorry to everyone I woke up early yesterday morning!!)

Luckily, my prayers were answered, and we found him, and he was fine. It was scary for a while there because he's so little. And Kile was sooo angry with me, just a visceral reaction, because he's so overprotective of the dogs. But I've never been so forgetful to have something like that happen to put sweet Butters in such danger!! Very scary.

So then, on our walk with Judy in the evening, one of our neighbors stops us as we walk by. This lady is very sweet and has a GIANT akita and a husky as well. A few weeks after we started walking Judy she had stopped us to tell us how much Judy looked like her dog Chinook that she had just put down a few months before. So, Judy is special to her as well (of course). Her giant Akita though has really bad knees, and he likes to do this stomping thing when he gets excited when we walk by, and she told us he's had knee surgery before. Anyway, so we try to give him berth when we walk by now so he doesn't get so excited. She's almost ALWAYS out there with her dogs and obviously cares for them so, so much. On the walk yesterday, she stopped us and said "You guys... won't believe what happened today." She went on to tell us that her big guy had been to the vet and they said he had a broken tooth that they needed to remove. So he went in for surgery and they put him under general anesthetic... and he almost didn't make it!! She said she dropped him off for the (routine!) surgery, went home and took a nap, but had a nightmare that they were losing him. So she woke right up and called the vet to check on him, and they said he was still in surgery, which she thought was weird because it had been so long, then about 10 minutes later the vet called back to tell her what happened. She said they gave him morphine too and that they probably had a bad reaction. Luckily the big akita looked no worse for the wear!! But mama was seriously fraught and distraught, still in shock, just unable to let go of him. She also said once they got in there to remove the tooth, that it wasn't even broken. :-/

Anyway, just a couple strange pet near-catastrophes. When I mentioned it to Kile he blamed the transit. So, I was wondering if anyone else had any weird crisis/miscommunications that may be attributed to this Mercury retrograde transit?

Every time I look, Mercury is always in retrograde.
I've come into some extra money, so that's always good.

Yeah, Mercury actually goes retrograde 4 times a year. Mercury transiting across the sun happens once every 13 years.

Just some much unwelcome sibling scuffles, which I have luckily been able to avoid for quite some time... although sadly its not out of the ordinary...  Confused But I didn't know it was Mercury retrogade, and the escalation was more than usual.
