[alchemikey]

peace is like a weightless waterfall
washing away each pebble of concern

it is flowing...always in the background
from the crashing waves one must discern

what is permanent...what doesn't come and go
that is where calmness is to be found

it's not a secret...it's not even hidden
just listen for the soundless sound

below the stream of thoughts
deeper than the heart's steady pulse

beyond all depth and yet so near
who distinguishes what's true and false?

resonance is relative to each individual
just like no two snowflakes are the same

the absolute burns away the personal
like a moth that flies into a flame

learning to surf the rising and falling
we're here to cultivate our soul's calling

to be a leader requires power and strength
we must be willing to go any length

with the supreme virtues our characters get built
like a grandmother who stitches a warming quilt

sifting the righteous clay from the sand and silt
innocence replacing any residue of guilt
