The significant parts of this concept complex that I see are: the blind-folded eyes; Justice is sitting; an Angel is behind Justice; a Lotus flower (?) above the head; the scales and sword in both hands; and the lion with a sphinx (?) on it’s back. Justice is also represented as feminine (and the Potentiator as masculine).
She is sitting because the Matrix of Body represents the balanced functioning of body as it naturally is. Just as the Matrix of Mind represents the unfed conncious mind, this would be the unfed body complex. She is blindfolded because the Matrix can’t regulate the body by itself. The Matrix of Body is therefore protected by its lower nature, represented by the lion, who has divine guidance represented by the sphinx it’s back, and the angel standing behind her.
That’s all I have for now.. I’m going to continue contemplating these cards.
Some observations for those contemplations.
Consider the blindfolded woman as the counterpart to the Magician. He looks Outward with eyes wide open. He is outward directed Consciousness. She is the reverse. This is Consciousness looking Inward. And she is blindfolded. So, it's a pictographic way of representing our inability to consciously access and be aware of all the enormous Intelligence that literally runs our bodies. Like Consciousness (Magician) has the Unconscious (High Priestess), incarnate Consciousness has an inward Body Intelligence too. There is an Intelligence that beats our hearts, grows our cells and that keeps us alive. It is as "veiled" to us (blindfolded) as our unconsciousness (veiled High Priestess in moonlit darkness) is "veiled" to our waking consciousness. These cards riff off each other.
There are three predominant figures. The white woman is our Waking Consciousness. The Lion is our Vibrant Physicality. The angel behind is the representation of Spirit which animates the Body; I call it "Body Consciousness" but I suppose science calls it the autonomic nervous system.
So there is a Trinity in this card. Mind (figure), Body (Lion) and Spirit. Three in One.
The Lion stands on the third step. This seems to align with Ra's teachings about first density (first step) fire, water, mineral etc. Second density, plants. Third density, animals. With all their corresponding advancements in consciousness. Note that this Lion has its own winged creature on its back. So our "bodies" represent the most "advanced" version of the physicality of the animal density. The most aware.
Of the three figures in the Trinity, two stand on squares. Consciousness in physicality (incarnation) here in the Earth Life School. Internal Body Consciousness Spirit (incapsulated inside the body). If you think about it, at least the Waking Consciousness has the whole world to explore, but this equally important Internal Body Consciousness, probably even more intelligent than our waking Ego Consciousness, is literally trapped within the body. Such a SACRIFICE (see Hanged Man). This figure's wings point DOWN. She is in service to the Body, that Lion she points at.
All those steps and cubes. This Body's whole Purpose is to SUPPORT US. Support the Mind Complex as it moves through experience (the next card, the Hermit).
Such a beautiful thing.
When I die, I will want to connect consciously with my hidden/blindfolded consciousness. That part of me that I delegated to the task of keeping me alive. What does she think of me? Does she know how I have taken her for granted? Does she "see" and "know" what I am doing with this magnificent gift of a body? Or, is she, like me, blindfolded to my external existence to the same degree that I am blindfolded to her inner existence?
