41.21 ▶ Questioner: You mentioned in the last session that fasting was a method of removing unwanted thought-forms. Can you expand on this process and explain a little more about how this works?
Ra: I am Ra. This, as all healing techniques, must be used by a conscious being; that is, a being conscious that the ridding of excess and unwanted material from the body complex is the analogy to the ridding of mind or spirit of excess or unwanted material. Thus the one discipline or denial of the unwanted portion as an appropriate part of the self is taken through the tree of mind down through the trunk to subconscious levels where the connection is made and thus the body, mind, and spirit, then in unison, express denial of the excess or unwanted spiritual or mental material as part of the entity.
All then falls away and the entity, while understanding, if you will, and appreciating the nature of the rejected material as part of the greater self, nevertheless, through the action of the will purifies and refines the mind/body/spirit complex, bringing into manifestation the desired mind complex or spirit complex attitude.
41.22 ▶ Questioner: Then would this be like a conscious reprogramming of catalyst? For instance, for some entities catalyst is programmed by the higher self to create experiences so that the entity can release itself from unwanted biases. Would this be analogous then to the entity consciously programming this release and using fasting as the method of communication to itself?
Ra: I am Ra. This is not only correct but may be taken further. The self, if conscious to a great enough extent of the workings of this catalyst and the techniques of programming, may through concentration of the will and the faculty of faith alone cause reprogramming without the analogy of the fasting, the diet, or other analogous body complex disciplines.
... and there we have it. We, through the application of and exerting our will with the faculty of Faith, can "reprogram" ourselves to rid mind and spirit of unwanted distortions that hold us back from being what we truly wish to be and accomplish in this incarnation.
Easy... right? uh... no. Ah, and there's the "rub".
The Will and Faith, like most things in life, needs to be exercised regularly, consistently... daily. There is opposition to your progress on the Positive path. You can feel it in the form of "pressure" against your being. It can take the form of temptation (often labeled your "demons")... the ones you personally deal with on an ongoing basis, or any of the things coming against you that we term "Catalyst".
What do you do when they get the best of you today and metaphysically knock you down? You get up and brush yourself off. Analyze what happened. Learn from it. You'll get knocked down again. Doesn't matter. Keep coming back against it. After awhile, you'll see the pattern the "demon" uses. You'll grow smarter, stronger in the fight. Believe that you are one with the Creator and that whatever entity (from whatever density) that comes between you and your goal/desire to be the highest and best you can be, ultimately cannot abrogate your Free Will. If you don't put up a fight for your own free will, (and no one else can do it for you), then you will be metaphysically just "marking time" and not progressing. You may even find yourself regressing if you surrender more of your Will. Eventually you'll have to learn to stand up for yourself (exert your will) and move toward what you know in your heart is up ahead, waiting for you to claim it.
Yes, I know others have another way to take things Ra has mentioned on this subject of Will. They say it is not the best idea to use your will to manage things, because you'll cause problems for yourself later. I've got to go with what I've experienced in life so far. Lessons have taught me to not be passive, but to confront the "pressure" head-on that the negative offers in its "service".
Again, remembering, not forgetting the admonition: "appreciating the nature of the rejected material as part of the greater self".
If this post doesn't "resonate" with you, ignore it ... just "Keep calm and carry on".
