for a while now i keep envisioning a device that is worn around the wrist containing incredibly small projectors which will allow the user to simply hold up wrist (a la spider-man) and use fingers (of either hand) to navigate websites and apps
in addition to tiny projectors , cameras that are worn like rings around the fingers are integrated to carry on the experience of snapshot/videoing everything as well as continuing the trend of constantly having something to upgrade and purchase cute accessories for. the ring or rings could also be responsible for housing the gyro sensors so that the display moves like the touchscreens we have now, but you don't touch, you just swipe the air
by placing the tech around the wrist rather than in the hand, we will stop hurting our necks. i read the other day that some scientist somewhere has proven humans are evolving neck humps from cell phone use xD
surely this has been portrayed in fiction?
it seems like we are so close to it, but to look at the consumer tech of today..... we are actually sooooo far.
bigger and bigger lithium ion batteries inside of bigger and bigger slippery fragile glass phones is the current trend. a trillions dollar industry of creating slightly different slippery fragile glass phones annually in order to create billions of plastic cases to protect those phones year after year after year....
didn't Ra say hyper advanced 3rd density people from far away who have interstellar travel capabilities can do so because they use hydrogen differently? idk what else could be used to create the power needed to fuel a smart holo wrist thing, but I sure don't feel like tethering it to a lithium ion battery pack in my pocket. ("vape ecigs" are exploding in people's faces more and more often, isn't that awful?)
to look at the current state of the "smartwatch" industry.... compare an apple watch to my vision of a smart holo wrist thing ... same form factor, same-ish idea... how many years in the future before my idea could exist? since iphone was first released 12? years ago, it's just been an evolution of that same concept. a decade before the smartwatch has finally begun to be a mainstream thing.
as time goes on more and more focus and r/d will be on the watches but I'd say we're at least 50 years away. see my image. i'm sorry i draw like a 2 year-old xD
what ideas do you have for the future of mobile?
