I have more of a Yogic background, but my girlfriend comes from a shamanic Tradition.
This has very much enriched my life and my seeking.

The shamanic approach is a Little more down to earth, connections with plants, animals are very important.
I think getting into this stuff has caused such experiences.
Very beautiful, especially for ne, since i struggled with earthly life for decades.

It has definitely broughtme more into honoring nature, food, plants and animals much more!
It also brought a lot of insight and a different perspective on the subject of food.
I think this might be worthwile for the OP to explore!

    Another Word on weed journeys:
I find Intention, set and setting of utmost importance.
I always Start with a prayer, trying to connect with the "weed spirit" giving thanks forthe substance and the energy and asking for guidance and help.
Since i so this, the journeys have deepened considerably.
I was sometimes even able to connect with plant energy like ayahuasca or mushrooms although i didnt ingest it (on weed though), very fascinating.

But i also suggest other shamanic methods to enter a State of trance, like shamanic drumming.
You can reach states als Deep als with substances!
Thats cheaper in the Long run Wink

It's only difficult when there is too much Control, in These cases i Need the aid of substances

    But back to topic:
I would suggest to the OP to maybe get a little into that approach, it could give a different perspective on the Food subject!

    @sjel
If youre into experiences like these, i highly recommend the Michael Roads books, especially the newer ones. You will die from fascination, atleast i did Smile
