Alot of music is inspirational for me I listen to Muse, and even Mozart and others. I love music because it is the voice of the people and I also love how much people are waking up to the fact that we are all one, we are all human and the real enemies are the government, people around the world are banding together and beginning to wake up and unite as one against tyranny, I know a revolution is on the way. Check out these two songs they are absolutly amazing and they are from rappers, now im not normally into rap beacuse all they talk about is drugs, sex and money but this guy is amazing and speaks the truth about the government and believes in peace and love. Please watch them you will not be disapointed:

I actually just started a thread to share the following song and as soon as I posted it saw this thread so I apologize for cluttering up the board. I don't know if the following song is 'inspirational' but I do find it very interesting to say the least.

About half of the songs on the following albums are very spiritual: In Search of the Lost Chord (1968), To Our Children's Children's Children(1969), A Question of Balance (1970), Every Good Boy Deserves Favour (1971) and Seventh Sojourn (1972). You could find torrents of them or buy the albums online.

In particular these songs: Minstrel's Song, After You Came, Out and In. Though in my library I have 35 songs by them, the most by any band.

Right on, turtledude. I too have all their best songs on my computer - their music will live a long, long time....

One of my favorite albums is New Gold Dream from 1982.

Thanks for that. He's a big supporter of the Palestinian cause and has spoken passionately for justice in the region.

One of my heroines...

Patti Smith
Dancing Barefoot

http://youtu.be/tRWSy3RhW0w

she is benediction
she is addicted to thee
she is the root connection
she is connecting with he

here I go and I don't know why
I fell so ceaselessly
could it be he's taking over me...

I'm dancing barefoot
heading for a spin
some strange music draws me in
makes me come on like some heroine

she is sublimation
she is the essence of thee
she is concentrating on
he, who is chosen by she

here I go and I don't know why
I spin so ceaselessly,
could it be he's taking over me...

[chorus]

she is re-creation
she, intoxicated by thee
she has the slow sensation that
he is levitating with she ...

here I go and I don't know why,
I spin so ceaselessly,
'til I lose my sense of gravity...

[chorus]

(oh god I fell for you ...)

the plot of our life sweats in the dark like a face
the mystery of childbirth, of childhood itself
grave visitations
what is it that calls to us?
why must we pray screaming?
why must not death be redefined?
we shut our eyes we stretch out our arms
and whirl on a pane of glass
an asphyxiation a fix on anything the line of life the limb of a tree
the hands of he and the promise that s/he is blessed among women.

(oh god I fell for you ...)

You're welcome.

(05-16-2010, 11:26 AM)Namaste Wrote: [ -> ]For me, the artist is Deuter, and his album Koyasan. It's absolutely beautiful, perfect for either relaxing or meditation. He is a self taught musician, who quit his job to follow his spiritual dream of creating music. His music is a gift to the world, and it's formless style whisks you off to another world, as if floating in a sea of light. Escape from Gravity is particularly wonderful.

I love Deuter. We have been listening to Deuter since the mid-nineties--all the recordings are excellent.

If you go to Pandora.com, you can create a Deuter music station (or any song or artist you like; I have many, many stations), which will bring in more music like it. Then you can refine the station by liking or disliking. It's a great way to discover music you would normally have no exposure to. Smile

Hi I have recently discovered this musician named Frank Ocean. I feel very strongly there is somthing very special about this guy. When I listen to his music I feel like I am living in the songs.

I just want to share this music with everyone because I feel like there is something healing about it...in my experience at least.

“My name is Frank Ocean. I grew up in New Orleans. I’m from Odd Future. I wrote Nostalgia, Ultra in spring 2010. I think I have Synesthesia. I feel more like some type of visual artist than a musician when I’m working. I just mean my process is more about imagery. Maybe people wanna call it a certain genre because I’m a black guy singing. I don’t really mind. To be honest, I don’t think much about it. I categorize it in iTunes as Bluegrass or Death Metal usually. I’m pretty sure I have Synesthesia though. I also wear a Kippah from time to time. I smoke Marijuana for anxiety. Oh, and I used to battle-rap in High School."
haha...I just realized there is already an inspirational music thread.
