Yesterday a massive global outcry stopped an Iranian woman, Sakineh Mohammadi Ashtiani, from being stoned to death.

But Sakineh still faces execution, and today, fifteen more people await execution by stoning -- people are buried up to their necks and large rocks are hurled at their heads.

So it appears that the petition worked. Iran has said they will not stone her to death. so how will they murder her now? hanging or beheading? I dont think we can save Sakineh from execution. The hero's of the Iran Revolution will certainly make sure she is executed to spite world opinion, and sickly define thier sovereignty.

The thing to do for her now is send her Love and Light.

I'm sure that everyone on this board would agree that murder is not STO, um.. normaly.

What I find interesting is that I'm also sure that you could go to Iran and find those who think that stoning her would have been totally STO! 1st, STO for the people of Iran, getting rid of filth. 2nd, STO for Sakineh, freeing her soul of her sins by taking the appropriate punishment defined by GOD himself spoken through the prophet (PBOH).

You're correct, she's still preparing herself for physical death by method of hanging. Although this is not the desired outcome, at least her last moments will be less barbaric.

And indeed, some will see this as God's will. The vast majority of global religions consider God to be judgemental and feel they must deal punishment on 'his' behalf. A disconcerting thought. One that is however, part of All That Is, and to be used as catalyst.

Hopefully this catalyst will be acted upon by those of STS polarity, and make their voice heard in a peaceful manner by signing these kind of petitions. Only love and conquer fear, and if enough people think this way, by laws of this universe, it will stop. Each of us has the power to stand for their truths, and if many do so in unison for the heart, we can change the world for the better, one step at a time.

Remember Love does not conquer, it is not aggressive, it simply takes the place of fear.

I do not believe in an abnormal situation that murder is in service to others; however this is up for a separate subject.

Indeed brother, speaking metaphorically. All STO thoughts are founded from a place of love, peace and harmony. If this were not the case, the thought would be founded upon fear, and hence, STS.

Thank you Namaste for offering this petition to signatures... Indeed I was aware of it and, signed it a few days back.

Today, the e-mail I received is saying that: "Wow - 400,000 signers in a few days - and Sakineh's children just told us today they feel this effort might keep her alive! Let's get to 1 million against stoning in Iran - sign the petition below and send this email on to everyone!"

Sakineh should be freed! She is claming her innocence.

It is important to see behind appearances here so, I would like to draw your attention upon the fully documented facts that, when muslim women are accused of adultery, it is often that they have been raped, most of the times by their husband's friends and, in conivence with him. I repeat, this is fully documented. These women have to go through a most horrendous ordeal when their husband decides to get rid of them for whatever reason.
Muslim dominated countries are male dominated to extremes. Islam considers that women have NO SOUL, hence no legal right, no voice, not even the right to express her side of the story when facing accusation, condamnation or execution. She is, by law, her husband's servant and slave and remain so until her death. A muslim woman BELONGS to a man, first her father, then, her husband! Those who get a good person for husband are the lucky ones, the others are living daily ordeals of all kinds, including rapes, beating ups and bad treatments.

So, yes, I was eager to sign this petition and, I do hope that awareness of the situation of muslim women will be spread widely and, supported globaly by every one who condemns violence.

I signed this petition in support for all our sisters under muslim laws.

In the Light of Truth and, the love for all badly and unfairly treated sisters around this world.
