Just thought I would share some exciting UFO news. A UFO was spotted above Xiaoshan Airport and caused 18 flights to be delayed. It was photographed pretty well too,

Apparently this happend on July 7th. The news link is from July 14th, and I'm hearing about it now on July 23rd so this is a little old. Anyone else hear about this? Pretty cool.

I did know about this, and the one on July 9th in Watford UK.

I heard the Chinese military said it was one of there's. But then wondered why they stopped their own airport!

The link doesn't appear to be working any longer, did they take down the article?

edit: I looked it up on some other sites, pretty exciting! Another step towards disclosure?

ABC might have their site down for maintenance, I can't get it to load either. I do still have it open in a previous window though, I'll try and copy/paste the text here.

Quote:An unidentified flying object (UFO) forced Xiaoshan Airport in Hangzhou, China to cease operations on July 7. A flight crew preparing for descent first detected the object around 8:40 p.m. and notified the air traffic control department. Aviation authorities responded within minutes, grounding outbound flights and diverting inbound ones to airports in Ningbo and Wuxi.
A UFO in China's skies forces Xiaoshan Airport to cease operations for one hour.

Eighteen flights were affected. Though normal operations resumed an hour later, the incident captured the attention of the Chinese media and sparked a firestorm of speculation on the UFO's identity.

"It is a hidden U.S. bomber flying toward China," one Internet user wrote on Monday. Another wrote on Sunday night, "In my opinion, the UFO is neither a U.S. missile nor a Russian satellite. Suggestions that it is extraterrestrial are even more preposterous. Everyone, use your head. This is clearly a man-made phenomenon. Would the U.S. or Russia risk provoking China's anger by firing a missile or satellite rocket in Chinese skies, without warning? I believe the Chinese military is responsible for the UFO. It is a new missile or aircraft being tested out.

Fueling speculations further, Hangzhou residents released photos, taken in the afternoon before the delays, of a hovering object bathed in golden light and exhibiting a comet-like tail. Less than an hour before the Xiaoshan airport shut down, residents said they also saw a flying object emitting red and white rays of light.

Resident Ma Shijun was taking a nighttime stroll with his wife when he saw the object.

"I felt a beam of light over my head. Looking up, I saw a streak of bright, white light flying across the sky, so I picked up the camera and took the photo. The time was 8:26 p.m. However, whether the object was a plane, or whether it was Xiaoshan Airport's UFO, I don't have a clear answer," Ma told the Xinhua news agency.

The photos taken by Hangzhou residents may be unrelated to the UFO that shut down Xiaoshan Airport. According to Hangzhou meteorological authorities, residents in the afternoon probably saw light reflecting off of an airplane. As for Ma's nighttime photo, Beijing Planetarium curator Zhu Jing told Xinhua that the object looks just like a plane shining its strobe lamps.

that's page 1 anyways. Here's a link to the video that was on that page:

Legit or no, I've never seen lights like that on a UFO. And assuming the pictures are real, why would a craft be in the air beaming down such bright lights unless it wanted to be seen? If it wanted to be seen, then who was controlling it, and why did they want it to be seen? Questions like dominoes! At least the pics are all consistent!

The lights are odd. And it indeed doesn't seam like a regular ufo. Also conveniently bright lights shining down stop eyes looking up.

I couldn't find any moving videos just pictures. Did anyone have better luck?

One comment on the site was interesting, suggesting that because the lights could be seen as coming up from the ground, perhaps its' a hologram?

And just what is a 'regular' UFO ??? Tongue

Haha, that comment struck me as really funny!

    Better close-up pix:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A-h7DaJCq...re=related

Starting at 1:05, you can really see it clearly. Curious how the red line stick out farther than the long light.

    Anyone speak Chinese?

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vzgrWSK8y...re=related

Some in English, some in Chinese, but shows 3 apparently different objects: the one with the beam, + a plane above spewing a very long, thick trail, + another with a huge trail.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ntb0brXp5...re=related

The last one is shown on other videos:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oPMvf-sGX...re=related

With people saying it's a missile or rocket. But WHY is this image shown along with the other one in the same news report? Doesn't seem to be the same thing. They are probably trying to link the UFO to the missile. And is it a missile? (the 3rd one)

I can imagine Smile Still I've seen many photos of UFOs and this one would be obvious in a "One of these is not as the others" game. Just an observation. Regular UFOs I would say are discs cigars balls of light or triangles. This one is a bit like a cigar shaped ufo but the difference between the top and the bottom are unique I think. I have not seen the red lights before.

Also I'd like to see close up video, the red lights on the top of the UFO seem to show some pattern, but every picture has a different configuration. It would seem those lights are blinking. Your video doesn't show that. I haven't had more luck finding any myself. Sad

The Chinese government has investigated the matter and concluded it was a missile.

Oh, there were two separate "missiles" a week apart over different cities.

This UFO shut down the Hangzhou Xiaoshan airport in China for over an hour...

Less than a week later, on 15 July, this UFO formed over a crowded park of Chongqing, from several light globes, and then flew across the city.

Labelling and media coverage of the two separate events is muddied.

Well, the first report (July 7th) is clearly not a missile, I think just about anyone can see that plainly from the photos alone. However due to the taboo nature of such topics as UFOs and the confused media coverage with separate events I'm sure that story will suffice for 90-95% of the population. Kudos, media! Freewill for those entities who do not want to think about extraterrestrials has been upheld for another day. (that sounds sarcastic, but I actually mean it.) Heart
