I got interested in archeology because it afforded me a glimpse into history and I will probably go for archeology or anthropology in collage(sp?) I am almost unnaturally fascinated with the past and at times feel so very crushed that so much has been lost(200,000 y) and I get really sad. Sad but then I decide to find out what actually happened on my own so Smile I have aspirations of finding atlantis and who created the pyramids and stuff, grand wants for a 16 year old eh. -Conifer16- Adonai Vasu Borragus
And actually my Interest in history led me to spiritual stuff because of things like the akashic field and the possibility of a library of everything but then spiritual stuff drew me in on it's own merit but it was history(and in a way archeology that led me here)
And on the subject of librarys. The Library Of Alexandria. SadSad its loss is so so very sad and is painfull to contemplate. Just imagine what they had recorded in there of their history and their own efforts at uncovering the past. I mean who knows what they found that dissapeared in the last 2k years that we won't find againSad
Oh and we'd have to sit in the sand just after sunset else we will burn our behinds Smile

i was always into history but felt like it wasn't really true in school. like i didn't believe the teachers or they didn't go deep enough into it. archeology digs right in.

that's perfect, then we can see the stars. Smile

yeah lets go Egypt and start digging! Smile
When I was a little child, I was fascinated by ancient Egypt, and the mummies and the pharaos. I wanted to become an archeologist, or an astronaut.
you know beneath the Sphinx they say there are all kinds of interesting things.

Haven't I brought up my "idea" before? I think our generation could uncover so much history if everyone picked up a shovel and started digging. I even had a campaign slogan with a clever name for the organization. I've forgotten them now. If I won the lottery, I would purchase a huge plot of land and a backhoe. I would just dig. Dig people, dig!! Every cool historical discovery started with a shovel.

3D - I own almost 80 acres of raw land in SE Oklahoma. I have the land abstract and it goes back to Indian Nation ownership. But we had to sell the backhoe last year, so if I'm going to dig there, I'll have to use a shovel. :-(

    Diggity DO!
