It seems to me that all personal/spiritual growth is really the exploration, understanding and polarizing use of the unconscious mind yet many of us know so little about it. Ra says there is a root of the mind, a racial mind, that the veil is between the conscious and unconscious, and that unconscious mind has "vast resources". In archetypes Matrix of Mind is synonymous with the conscious mind and Potentiator of Mind is synonymous with the unconscious mind (this webpage expands on it: http://www.floating-world.org/Tarot.htm ). As I see it the conscious mind is like a monitor and the unconscious is like the computer.

Does Q'uo expand on this? What are your theories and observations about the unconscious mind? What does orthodox psychology and neurobiology have to say on this topic?

Take a look at Jung's or Assagioli's work. If you take the Higher-Self as a fully conscious (personal) mind, then what we are working with here in 3D is like 99.99999% unconscious mind. Using the logos as a guide or template, we uniquely 'fill in' the unconscious bits with what we are able to make conscious. Through that effort, the foreign becomes familiar and we become more of who we already are.

Typically, what we are making conscious here in 3D are those personal distortions which require balance. So we program a life with dispositions and biases that will increase our chances that we are subjected to catalyst of that nature.
